Whoever said Fight Club I agree completely.

Other good menus are the Tetsuo blu ray double feature. Halloween 3 from Scream Factory, and the Apocalypse Now blu rays

But my favourtie menus will always be the Australian original dvd pressing of Season 1 of Twin Peaks. Beautiful. Simply beautiful

*1000

I much prefer menus that are plain and functional.

The original dvd for Texas chainsaw massacre. Creepy as hell. If you let it play leather face comes outta nowhere and charges the screen. Totally freaked me out.

I little odd but I noticed a lot of people are picking dvd menus instead of blu. Has the art of the menu been lost since the format switch?

Titanic (1997) and Gravity (2013):

Music and editing of scenes from the film = Masterful

Scary Movie 2 (dvd, haven't seen the BD but assume it's different like all Lionsgate offerings). It's just funny. Close runner up for comedic value, This is Spinal Tap (dvd, again haven't seen the BD).

That Alien dvd might be my favorite ever though for overall coolness and fit. House on Haunted Hill (99) is pretty dope too putting you in the house.

Favorites that come to mind are:

Fight Club (just quirky as hell, but I love it's originality)
The Avengers
LOST (different scene on each disc for each season)
Man of Steel (that score! )

I still remember the DVD menu of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon literally giving away the ending of the movie! When I showed the movie to my brother and his wife, I had to tell them to keep their eyes shut until the actual movie started.

One menu I actually like to sit through is The 40 Year Old Virgin, which contains about two minutes' worth of hilarious outtakes of Steve Carrel freaking out in his apartment after he accidentally reveals his horrible secret to his poker buddies. These aren't even in the deleted scenes menu.

AL time favorite menu was for an independent comedy-mocumentary called "SONS OF PROVO" about a Mormon boy-band who really loved themselves TOO much.

There were two different menus and you never knew which one you'd get, but these are HYSTERICAL because they were unexpected....

Great menus are becoming a thing of the past but I always liked the one for THE ABYSS. The best menus today are ones that mimic font from titles in the film (like Shout does).

I love the menu for the House of a 1000 corpses dvd. Having Bill Moseley, Sid Haig and Sherri Moon guide you through the menus as their characters is just fantastic and pretty funny.

+1
There is nothing quite like forgettong the DVD is on while you're doing something else and have Captain Spaulding start yelling at you.

Well both Warner and Universal have pretty much given up. It's like the same menu grid with a few shot from the movie for all of their discs.

Spinal Tap in which they discuss the (really, really small) logo.

I just love the "...Stop" as it keeps shrinking.

I loved the DVD menus for the Special Edition Bond films, it was classy, with girls voice, I hate the menu on the Bond Blu Rays now!!

I wish theyd stop the menus showing bits of the film in the background - very annoying! And even more annoying when you havent seen the film in question already

Latest culprit was Gravity - I had to sort of force myself not to look at the screen and just select play film quick.
