I just got the SIXTEEN CANDLES Blu-ray from Arrow and the slipcover has a square hole in the side directly over the hole where you open the case underneath. What is the purpose of this hole?! If slipcovers are to protect the case from getting dust into it, this hole is in the very worst spot! LoL

It's a beautiful embossed slipcover, but the first one I've seen with this square hole!

The long, rectangular opening on the side of the case that opens can be used for security devices that prevent opening the case. These were common in rental stores in the DVD era. That's the only thing I can think of.

I love slipbox releases, like 2001 and men in black trilogy, is there a database where I can search and find other 4k releases that came in slipbox or hard case?

They remind me of laserdiscs.
