I'm a 23 year old college student at University of Nebraska, Lincoln. I'm honestly surprised to see all the people that posted previously from Nebraska. Apparently, there's a number of college students around here that are supporting Blu Ray, despite HDD being cheap. (For poor college students, you would think we'd go with the cheap alternative, but apparently we're also somewhat "bright" to not invest our money in pure crap."

I am a 23yo senior at OSU. Go BUCKS! I spend a LOT of money on home entertainment products and I supported my way through college without any debt. Just to reference how much I spend, Besides the stuff in my sig, I have owned 12 HDTV's in my life and also built a $1700 computer.

P.S. I hope blue loses tomorrow. Michigan sucks!

I am a 21 year old junior at a college in Minnesota. My mom is a teacher there, so I get free tuition. Also, my parents pay for the rest of my expenses since my college is free. That's why I can afford to buy Blu-rays (albeit not as many as I'd like).

I'm a Management of Information Systems major.

I go to UIC (university of Illinois in Chicago). Decided not to go to Urbana even though I was accepted from fear of the competition I would meet...gonna major in Computer Engineering (hopefully...)

I spend A LOT...and I mean...A LOT of money on Blu-rays. Well at least by my standards. I do not work. I get $90 a week for food or whatever. You know where that money goes? Thats right! MOVIES! Dont worry, I eat!

VIVA LE BLU REVOLUCION! (wonder if thats what the french say...hmmm...)

Life is short and the future is uncertain. Eat dessert first
Well, you are right, but at least you should sample dessert sometimes. It gives you something to work for.

I go to the University of Alberta taking Computer Enginnering and I am 20 years old!
Went to Northern Alberta Institute of Technology before that and graduated with a diploma in Computer Engineering Technology.

Hey that makes 2 of us going to the UofA! Small world.

Well, my entertainment budget is quite separate - lets hear it for scholarships so that my learning is entirely paid for.

I just graduated from Virginia Tech last May and I was always upgrading my home theater (mostly the speakers) when I was in college. As soon as I got out and got a job (June) I bought a Bravia LCD and a Bluray player and an Onkyo 805!! I don't regret one penny that I spent on the home theater in college, but it helps to get good grades so you can get a good job when you graduate. Then you can get almost all of the stuff you wanted when you were in college

As I read this thread...doesn't it remind you of CSATBA (College Student Addicted to Blu Anonymous)?

I'm 22, and I goto Cal State San Marcos. I graduate in the spring. Then I'll be going to grad school. My parents pay for anything school related, and I make decent money at work, so I have a decent entertainment budget.
