Anyone know if these are going to be digipacks? If they switched over to Amaray style cases I'll pick up the re-releases.

Exactly what I did. While I wish they had stuck to non-combo pack releases, having them be combos let's me sell off the DVDs/Digital copy and recoup some of the money back.

Season 4 could include DVDs. Regardless, the old slips fit fine without the DVDs.

Why would you want to put a S1 slip on the S2 box anyway?

It'd probably will, which will make me happy. I don't sell them off nor do I use them, but I love having them.

Maybe these will sell for $20 or so on sale sometime soon. That would be a good incentive for me to finally start checking this series out. I know it's supposed to be a great show.

With a list price of $80 just like the other releases, I'd doubt it'd ever go that low (new). Best you're looking at is $30, but for a release like this even $30/35 is a great price for what you're getting.

So is it confirmed they will stop releasing them in digipaks in the UK?
I will be furious if thats too! Unlike True Blood, HBO released digipack in UK too so if they switch s1-3 wont match the rest and I refuse to re-buy.

Maybe you should stop trying to do that. That's not a "collectors" problem. That shouldn't even BE a problem. Why are you doing that?

The regular sets go on sale for $30 when new seasons come out. That's already an excellent price for all the extras you get. I don't see these sets, with or without DVD copies, going on sale for $20 when the list prices are $80.

I wouldn't mind to get rid of the digipaks... they are so bulky.

But for $70, no thanks. Guess I have to wait a long time for a drop

It hasn't been confirmed if these aren't digipaks. Knowing HBO's track record I'd say these are just re-releases without the DVDs and not a change in packaging.

I just sold off my 3 digipak sets for $85 and bought the seasons 1-3 UK set for $80. It's just slightly thicker than one season and it's split into 3 amray cases - one for each season.

Not really the right price for this, but I'm looking for some help. I have the standard version of season 1 and I may be able to get a slip of House Stark for that season. It comes from the version that did not bring DVDs so I'm assuming it's slimmer that the version that had blu and DVD, which I have. So my question is, would that slip be able to fit over the version that I have?
