Plus there are often non-member coupons as well, although in-store coupons seem to be YMMV.

I was hoping this would be paired with The Brood, which I am far more eager to see brought to blu-ray, but I'm ecstatic nonetheless. That cover art is lovely. I just wish we were getting a new interview with Cronenberg, outside of him talking about the effects.

Awesome man! i always enjoyed this since junior high and now i can sell my old bareboned DVD and this should be swell with the features and the usual Criterion restoration.

The cover looks weak though.

I'd put it head and shoulders over Fast Company, M Butterfly, Rabid, Cosmopolis, and A Dangerous Method. And a bit over Crash. Never seen Shivers.

Excellent news. I'll be picking this up day one. Videodrome is my favorite cronenberg film but I enjoy scanners. This announcement has been a long time coming.

To be fair, I didn't think it was demonstrably worse than any similarly generic drive-in fodder of the period, genre stalwarts John Saxon and Claudia Jennings are always fun to watch, and it looks great (the DP was the excellent Mark Irvin, who shot every other Cronenberg film through The Fly).
