In addition, not sure what luck you are going to have on the phone but find email of the CEO (old CEO's email: michael.duke@wal-mart.com [so new one might be: Doug.McMillon@wal-mart.com) , or anyone as high up as you can find (you will get a response rather quickly by one of his staff but these email accounts are the ones I have always had the most success with listening and responding to my complaints).
I am not sure what they will do for you, but large corporations do not want stuff like this happening by their employees, and most certainly do not want it reported to the BBB. Best of luck and if this were me I would definitely pursue it until something happened.
Thank you for that info. I called the local store manager but that didn't seem to get very far. So I'm going to call corporate tomorrow and let them know about the entire situation.

Yow. Maybe somebody is crushing on you(?) Strange.

I called a CS center re: a recent good sale. One of the movies I ordered was marked as delivered (checking the UPS tracking), but it must've been delivered to someone else - I never got it. Anyway, I got some gal whom I assume was in the Philippines, although I'm not positive. Strangest customer service experience ever.

She gave me her name (the made up "American-ized" name they give themselves). I started to explain the situation. Not far into the call, she said, "You sound hot. I bet you're really sexy." I was taken aback b/c it was like I'd called a phone sex line. I chuckled, playing it off. I re-explained everything. She said, "Okay. I understand." (pause in the conversation) "So are you hot? Your voice is hot." I laughed again. She asked where I was located…what the weather was like. I told her that it was really cold at the time (February). She said, "I bet you have someone to cuddle up with. I bet you're sexy."

It goes on like this while we work the problem. She says, "What are your plans for summer?" I told her I didn't know yet. She asked if I was a teacher, if I'd ever taught English in a foreign country. She says, "You sound like some of the male English teachers I've had. They were sexy."

For me the conversation started off incredibly awkwardly. I figured she didn't speak English very well, and was maybe confused. As the conversation went on, it seemed less and less the case. I almost started to chub out toward the end. It didn't get graphic or anything, but it was very phone sex'ish.

You wonder, does this woman talk to every guy like this? Wouldn't they get in trouble? Of all the English she's learning, how did she pick up the flirty talk first? It was just very strange. Having worked in call centers in college, I'd heard of creepy (usually male) people calling and being inappropriate. I've never had it happen from the other end though.

This is really funny and somewhat uncomfortable at the same time

Yea I usually just go straight to the top of the company, they are the ones that have a personal stake in it. Often time people just write things off because they do not want to take the time to deal with the issues but if you actually contact the company they are usually very helpful in resolving the matter. Often time, they will offer you some sort of compensation for your troubles such as vouchers, discounts or credit.
Best of luck and keep us posted on how it goes.

I sent an e-mail to the second one you provided, and so far it hasn't bounced back, so that's a good sign. I had an issue with a local Target last year and that's how I ended up getting an answer. I e-mailed all the big wigs and ended up getting a call from someone or another on the corporate ladder wishing to apologize for the situation.

I didn't give them my name, outside of using my credit card, and to be honest, I'm quite furious.

Has anyone else ever had an issue like this?

Granted, it will probably just end up as being a written warning on her file, but its at least something. If you go into the store and raise enough of a stink about it at customer service you can probably get a giftcard out of it.
I ended up calling the 888 number for consumer relations, only to be tossed around to some 3rd party company that handles ethics concerns. However, after I got off the the phone with them, I called consumer relations back again and spoke with someone else who was more accommodating. She said the report would be sent to the store manager and if I didn't hear back by Friday, to call back and they would escalate the report even higher.

The last time I had an issue with one of Walmart's CSMs, the manager just offered me a gift card. However, this is a bigger issue, especially due to recent data breeches and other identity and credit concerns.

Walmart's corporate office called me today about the e-mail that I sent their president.

Glad to see that you are getting the necessary attention for your issue.
Did they resolve the issue with that phone call or do you now get a long process of exchanging emails/phone calls

Someone from the office called today and mentioned the e-mail that I sent to the president of Walmart. He basically wanted to say that they received the claim and are looking into the issue and asked what I was looking to happen. Then he sent me an e-mail with his contact info, since I wasn't in a position to write anything down.

For one, I would like to learn what type of policies Walmart has in place to protect the privacy of their customers. And a gift card would be nice too.

There it is (not that it was a secret before). Don't we have a separate forum for retail discussion, i.e. not related to deals/bargains? Maybe a 'how I got a $20 GC to Wal-Mart and an elderly lady lost her job?' post in the bragging thread?

Yup, and it's right here.
