Wanted to buy this a while back but the price was over $100 (the complete collection), I guess it was temporarily sold out? Can't wait to get this set and watch and enjoy and my leisure.
Great series, just stay away from the spin-off.

I rewatched the series a few months ago and had no issues. I'll check my disc in a little bit. What timestamp did it freeze?

I actually just watched this complete series last month, I have the individual releases (season 1 is the Target exclusive release). All the discs played fine.

Any likelihood of this being released on 4k?

Very slim. The show wasn't very popular in viewership. I think it would have done better on another network. The Blu-rays look great though, I wouldn't upgrade.

Probably low, but never say never.

This series was incredible really. Few modern TV shows capture me like this one did. A shame they couldn't bottle that magic for the spin-off. I guess a large part of the magic was the perfect ensemble cast.

I agree. The original series is one of the best gothic horror tv shows, the world feels real and lived in, and it had tons of atmosphere. As you say, the ensemble cast were excellent and the performances were great all round each having their moments to shine throughout the series.

It takes itself seriously and doesn't have any modern talk or agenda which would kill the illusion. Creating a story with some of the most famous literary horror characters of all time and having it take place in Victorian London was a genius idea and it works really well.

I went through a blu-ray re-watch last year having watched it on Sky when it first aired.
