Default SingStar going offline Jan. 31, 2020 :(

FYI for the SingStar fans out there, Sony is pulling the online aspect of it (the servers, SingStore, online community) on 1/31/20. Here's the official link:

https://www.singstar.com/home.html

Strangely, PS4 owners will still be able to download previously purchased songs on their systems but PS3 owners will no longer have the capability to do so after the 1/31/20 date.

Another music game bites the dust, doubting that Sony has any plans whatsoever to bring it back onto the upcoming PS5

They gave that date and then have already pulled a lot of songs annoyingly.

I may have to have a January blowout on this for old times sake. Had some brilliant fun and boozed up parties with Singstar over the years.

Had similar experiences with Rock Band. Was a good game last generation, not so much this generation. Unfortunately for me, all my RB songs are tied to MS licensing so if I want to play that rhythm game I’ll have to keep giving MS money every year for Gold.

Played Singstar & even bought a bunch of songs if I recall. Kinda cool karaoke type game.

Been over a year since I've been on the Bluray forums, but jumping back in

I'm still doing the SingStar thing, mostly on PS3 tho' I have them spread across both PS3 and PS4. Mostly because the PS3 had more songs in the digital library that didn't carry over to the PS4 but also because the PS3 can also play the PS2 SingStar discs

Off-topic here, but thinking about getting Let's Sing 2019/2020 on the PS4. Does anyone know if you can live broadcast on those games without a block like SingStar PS4 would do (Rock Band 4/Rivals let you broadcast tho' you'd get a copyright claim later and the video would get pulled)?
