I don't understand why this is going in the Leprechaun boxset.
Wasn't that a whole other Leprechaun film that is even less related than this one already is?

I do like these box sets that are fairly priced though. Bit of a no brainer to spend $40 or less and get all the films, compared to getting Origins alone for $20.

Yeah, I don't think any of this has aired at all anywhere yet, and will be seen on the Blu-ray for the first time. I don't think they have even shown what the "Leprechaun" even looks like in makeup yet.

I don't have any problem with this being a reboot, and a possible dark hard R horror film instead of one full of comedy. I like the original Leprechaun films for what they are, but I'm not so attached to them like other franchises that I'm going to be upset or even slightly bothered that they are going to try to do something a bit different and make it a more serious horror flick.

The movie will first be released on VOD on August 26th and than blu-ray September 30th.

They haven't revealed the Leprechaun yet.

Origins has got to be the dumbest movie ever made. Worse yet? It's a WWE movie. Two hours of my life I will never get back.

yea this movie was really bad. the leprechaun isnt even a leprechaun but more of your typical generic monster/wild animal that goes clawing people to death. the "leprechaun" has no personality whatsoever, never even speaks, never demands it's gold coins, etc. etc.

the victims in this do the usual cliche things that makes thing much worse for themselves. if it at least had some smart people that are doing whatever it takes to survive, then that'd make it a somewhat entertaining movie, but instead they do all the stupid things and end up getting killed.

i like the location setting but other than that...theres no redeeming quality.

i understand now why the box set is so low priced, this new film doesnt do the name justice.

WARNING!!! This movie has NO EVIL TALKING LEPRECHAUN in it at all like the other films . It's just some ALIEN LOOKING SKINNY CREATURE THAT DOESN'T SPEAK (it's basically some guy in a costume so bad they try never to show it in close up) who hunts non-sexually active youngish people in the woods. This "film" has No Sex, No Nudity, No Leprechaun, No Thank You! This is a FAKE Leprechaun film!

Didn't they say this was going to be a two picture contract for the new leprechaun actor? So he's doing a sequel too? Given the negative feedback I wonder whether they will change his character to more Warlock Davis like in the next film, if there will be one at all with the bad reception to Origins.

Wow, this was a piece of shit.

I would have forgiven them for straying from the source material, if only the suit for the "Leprechaun" didn't look like complete garbage. Zero articulation and zero fright factor.

You are thinking of "Leprechaun's Revenge," which is not the same movie, but I agree with your comments. It was awful.

I think I will avoid watching this new one altogether.

It was hard to pass on the nice slipcover at BB thanks to reading amazon's terrible reviews. I'm glad I passed on this.

Because it is the only way to sell the disc, I can almost guarantee 95% of all sales of Leprechaun Origins is from the box set, I give the Leprechaun Origins single disc 3 months before it hits the 7.88 bin in wal mart.

It came with the box set, this is Halloween 3 all over, nothing to do with the other movies, it is some kind of horrible reboot that is nothing like the others at all.. I would bet they would need to create 1.99 Walmart bin to sell this garbage alone.. No matter how bad you think it will be, it is worse!
