Well Wal*Mart ticked me off.I went to get the Die Hard movies today and they did not have any of The Die Hard movies.I ask the sales clerk working in The Electronics department and the guy act like he did not want to help me.What a jerk! He told me if you dont see it on the shelf we dont have it.So I left Wal*Mart disapointed.

I learned that "lesson" a couple of months ago. Watch carefully their expected arrival date. They feed off of that to determine how to ship, as that is their "guarantee" regarding when you will get it. I think I learned this lesson when I got the Panasonic 10AK several days late, knowing they had stock and I should have got it the next day (on Friday), but getting it Tuesday or Wednesday instead, since they quoted one of those days as the expected arrival date at the time I finalized my order.

Similary, I ordered the Die Hard box last night and they said next Monday for 2-day prime. I cancelled and re-ordered this morning and now they say Friday... (hope UPS delivers on Friday ). [Knock on wood.]

To be honest I see more BR being delayed more often in the near future.

It's almost like being a victim of your own success. We have an unknown qty of BR users out there. One example 20% to 100% of PS3's.
The number of stand alone players also keeps going up too; however the replication facilities are all at full capacity.

but until there is a clear winner that type of investment required for many more replication facilities prob won't happen.

Best Buy................price match, and I've already skipped through all the BD's. I just get sick of waiting for some orders from on-line.

PQ by the way will rank as #4 the best (not as good as POTC or Crank) with #1 almost as good. #3 is good, but just not as strong as #1 and Die Hard #2 the weakest of all in PQ. Still all the best I have ever seen the Die Hards.

Whats funny is if you watch #4 and then put the first Die Hard in and you really see how many years have passed between #1 and #4 by just looking at Bruce Willis. Go Blu!

Mine too. I'm now starting to doubt that it will even be shipped today. Doubt I will get it by tomorrow which makes Friday seem more likely.

So wait, what shipping method did everyone choose? I chose Next-Day thinking they'd ship it on Monday so I'd get it on the release date but they actually shipped it on the release date which was extremely stupid to me. I noticed that the 2nd day people seem to be getting it shipped today as well. And then the people that probably use Free Shipping or USPS got theirs shipped yesterday, does that seem about right?

I never had a problem with amazon at all. I checked this morning on my status and it entered the shipping soon, yesterday it wasn't like that and I checked just now & it says that my package shipped and I selected free shipping. Let's say they mail my movies out on Monday I usually get them on Wednesday even with free shipping not all the time though since it depends what wherehouse has the movies in. Usually my products come from AZ or NV sometimes they come for the east coast wich takes longer.

Problem I have is I know I was one of the FIRST people here (along with others) to pre-order when the pre-order showed up.

I also know that regular john doe customer is not going to know exactly when the pre-order is up when we do. There is at least a few days if not a weeks delay for regular "non blu enthusiats".

So, how did people with free shipping get before me a prime member? Why does Amazon ship a day before release on some items and then ship the same day or the day after for other releases? Does not make sense to me. They have the pre-orders, they see the demand - they know whose first and what it takes to get those orders OUT when they should be.

So I ask, where is the foul up taking place?

Prime has nothing to do with it, except that it's a good sales pitch by Amazon.

It's all distribution/networking...

I've had a couple problems with amazon ... paid for the next day shipping on a movie and got it in like 3 days or w/e some next day shipping... They have good prices and if there is something really good on there i'll buy but other than that I stay away from them... and dont get me started on the sellers on there

I am a Prime member too. I got League of Extraordinary Gentlemen yesterday, and it is at my doorstep now, and I did not pay a cent toward shipping.

Sometimes its a hit, sometimes its a miss, this time it was a home-run.
