To be clear, there is now: A North American edition (with two cuts) An Asia and Eastern European edition (with the theatrical version) A Western European edition (with the theatrical version) A UK/Australia edition, with two cuts, but only English options A (forthcoming) Japanese edition The existence of this version makes no sense, as Universal could simply have given the UK and Australia the North American disc as well. The current situation means that extra cost was incurred, and there must be a reason for that. The last time the UK and Australia got their own version of a major Hollywood picture that the same studio distributed worldwide on region-free media, was this: ![]() and we all know what happened there, don't we? What we need is a full scan of the theatrical cut on the US disc, showing the .m2ts files which make up the playlist. Then we can determine if a screen outside of the film is the culprit, or if the difference is somewhere in the body of the film. |
