How is it possible for anyone to dislike Spider-Man 2?! I'm not even a fan of the character, and I think that's easily one of the most fun superhero movies ever!

I was a kid when the original Spider-Man series came out and they weren't anything like the character I loved from the comics and the games. Every time I see the first two films that's always in the back of my mind and therefore I dislike them.

Ah, OK. Maybe the fact that I never really read the comics actually works in the movie's favor when it comes to me?

Oh, definitely. I hate the Timothy Olyphant Hitman film for the same reason. I also enjoy a lot of adaptations where I haven't seen the source material and I'm grateful that's the case.

Yeah and the fact that I'm sort of a Kirsten Dunst super-fan probably didn't hurt.

Both Hitman movies were terrible. I adore the games so pleasing what i want in a Hitman movie would be hard.

I'm a huge fan of the games as well. I haven't seen the second film yet but I have low expectations. Just going by the trailers though it looks a hell of a lot better than the first one.

That is a low bar to beat. It is better and feels more like the games, but still fails overall. It would be a D while the first was an F.

As for the games i am super excited for the new one. I wish they weren't going episodic though. I want to dive in and play for days and instead i have to wait months for the whole thing. Gameplay wise it looks fantastic.

Nothing beats TDK, imo.

Spider-Man 2, X2, Ant-Man, GOTG, and Avengers were all fun. They're basically what I hope to get out of a comic book movie.

Least favorites were the Iron Man sequels as well as the Fantastic Four films and second Thor.

Most disappointing was TDKR and Man of Steel.

One of them was probably meant to be the sequel.

Ant-Man is my favourite comic-book film of recent times. It's not perfect, but it has such a great, fun feel to it that I really dig. That's quite an admission from a Batman fan.

I need to compile my rankings and post them up. I'll just reserve this spot for when I have the time to sit down and do it.
