What's the point? Does anyone really care that much about those stiff, clunky controlls and and listening to that god awful dialogue? I mean yeah it was cool back in 1996 but now almost 20 years later? Let's move on.
It's the RE REMAKE in HD. The one on Gamecube, mate. Not the PS1 original. The one on Gamecube looks to have aged really well and with a new updated control scheme and 108p 30fp...it should look the business.

I do somewhat agree that the genre has outgrown Resi. Games like The Last Of Us and potentially the upcoming Evil Within seem to out Resi the last few games in the series, but we must not ignore their influence. By going back to the REremake and updating it as best they can, they are given a new generation of gamers the chance to see where it all comes from.

Yeah, i'd be lying if it wasn't a bit of nostalgia on my part, but like I said, REremake has aged well and is well worth playing again. I consider it the 2nd best Resident Evil game after Resi 2.

It's been quite a few years since we've seen Claire Redfield in her own adventure, but early next year she she'll face all-new dangers and dread in Resident Evil Revelations 2. As some fans may already know, since the Code: Veronica days she's joined the anti-bioterror organization Terra Save, helping people around the world deal with ongoing bio threats. Revelations 2 begins with Claire welcoming Moira Burton - daughter of Barry! - into Terra Save, but in true RE fashion it's not long before trouble finds our heroes.

The party is crashed, Claire and Moira are knocked unconscious and taken to a mysterious detention center located on an island. They soon encounter demented, writhing enemies called Afflicted roaming the halls of this abandoned facility, and have to team up to survive. The real question is, who brought them here? And... why?

If that sounds a bit like a cliffhanger ending, well... it's intentional. If you recall, the original Revelations told its story with chapters divided into TV-like episodes (even featuring "Previously in Resident Evil Revelations" bumpers). This storytelling technique continues in Revelations 2, which will debut as four weekly downloadable episodes and then as a physical disc once the saga has unfolded.

*Retail disc version includes further gameplay content in addition to the content included in the Complete Season

Each week will end with some kind of cliffhanger that should spur further conversation and speculation; if you want to stay on top of the latest twist, you'll want to check out the weekly episodes. But if you're more interested in an all-in-one experience, there will be a "complete season" digital option and the aforementioned disc for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.

An episode a week isn't horrible. The way they did The Walking Dead the 2nd season was horrible. I don't mind this at all.

surprise its coming out weekly. Thats rather fast.

ETA: Anyone notice that the season pass is more expensive to get than the episodes individually? Thats odd bc generally the season pass is a savings over buying them seperately

Looking at the pictures released and the fact it's releasing with Walking Dead style episodic content, this is definitely Capcom's B team on this project.

Unless it turns out absolutely amazing, I'll wait for Remake instead.

Did you not like the first Revelations? I thought that one was decent and I imagine this will be better. I'm optimistic.

Is there a problem with the B-team? You're aware that the Resident Evil B team has made better games for years right? Lost in Nightmares > RE5. Revelations > 6 (as far as horror goes. I liked the story in 6)

Revelations 2 is made by the B-Team. But the B team makes better games. This pricing is exactly what the franchise needs after people felt burned by RE6.

IDA. LiN felt empty with not much to do. It relied way too heavily on nostalgia to sell it

the graphics don't look good at all. The character models especially look bad. I hope these were just PS3 images and not of the PS4

It lacked enemy variety. But it had a better tone. It felt more Resident Evil than 5 did.

Other than that, it was a one hour DLC. Of course there wasn't much to do in it.

And no. The graphics do not look bad. Don't be a self entitled gamer. It's called art style. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of REV2's character designs at the moment either. Their limbs are freakishly long. But the graphics aren't "bad" by any stretch of the imagination.

that doesn't make it better. It was a choice to make it one hour. The team thought they could just grab gamers with Chris/Jill, throw them in the nostalgic mansion and make a quick return on minimal work. They could have made it more substantial than that. They could have made it a 2-3 hour DLC with more to do. I wasn't even ragging on the length, but the actual content within the environments they gave us was lacking. It was pretty much running around finding items to open the next door on the map. That was boring.

No, its not about being a self entitled gamer. The character models do not look good at all. I may have been more okay with this had it been 2007 but we are 8-9 years into last gen; the visuals should look better than that. By comparison, the other RE from recent years look better than this. RE5 from 2009. One would hope that games that come after should look at least as good if not better, but this looks worse than that. And that doesn't even take into a account that its coming out on the PS4/X1 as well and just doesn't compare to the level of quality coming out on those systems at all

Except both LiN AND Desperate Escape were just levels from RE5 that were cut, then finished and released as dlc. They were never meant to be long chunks of gameplay. They didn't have to be.

As for graphics, let's really think here. REV2 is a 25 dollar digital download. Are you crazy enough to think they'll spend the same kind of budget on a 25 dollar download as they would on a 60 AAA game?

And yes. It is being an entitled gamer. Gameplay and story always come first. Your whining about how something looks. Who cares how it looks? Play the game. If the gameplay sucks, then you have something to worry about.

hence why I found them disappointing and not as good as the main game. Remember YOU are the one that came out and compared LiN to RE5. So I give my reasons why I didnt like it, so you give excuses for it and basically say that it shouldn't be compared to RE5? Huh? I guess if it doesn't suit your purposes....

Did I say I expected it to get the same budget as a $60 AAA game? Im not the poster that was worried about that.

There is no reason why a digital download game from today cant look as good as a game released 5 years ago. That's just lame

Who cares how it looks? Obviously gamers that comment on it looking disappointing as a late 7th gen game. Visuals are just as important to the gaming experience.

The graphics don't look too bad at all, mate. We've only seen snippets from the trailer and a few pics, but so far, theres nothing that stands out that makes me think that it looks bad.

The graphics on Revalations 1 was passable for me because the gameplay was decent, but then, it was a port of a handheld game. This looks a lot more improved to me.

I remember Lost In Nightmares. Very short, but quite creepy.
