You sure someone didn't slip you a dvd in a BD case? I know many of my dvds have that look, not positive if any blus do.
This was definitely a Blu-Ray disc. I bought it brand new when it came out.

In the Case of Cabin Fever there were hard to see small foggy spots which I previously described as a mold like pattern in another post.

I would definitely recommend checking the disc as I wouldn't be surprised if it still worked just fine.
I’ve tried playing the disc on both of my PlayStation 3 (original fat console) and PlayStation 4 without any luck. I’ve tried doing both “play” and “play from beginning” options on both consoles. Using the “play from beginning” on the PS4, started to load and would just cycle the disc in an endless loop. Just pressing play on both consoles would just wind up the disc for a bit and then give me an error code. A quick search defines the code as unreadable disc.

I have a Blu-Ray player on my computer that I’ve yet to try but I’m not holding my breath.

Early Saw discs were known to be totters, and I found the discs can even still look okay but become unplayable. When my first 3 or 4 Saw films weren’t working anymore, I just bought the steelbook set that’s been out. It was dirt cheap when I got it.

Will Saw IV get a 4k release on Blu-ray?

Surely if Saw (2004) can get a fresh 4k scan of the 35mm film then Saw IV can get one too?

Is the Jul 20, 2021 Blu-ray release of this film any different than the original release besides the cover?
