All Twilight Time release information, pre-order dates, upcoming titles announced, latest low quantity count, etc can be found in the first post of the main Twilight Time thread here:
Twilight Time Thread EDIT: also, the last couple of pre-order dates have been the 4th Wednesday of the month instead of the 3rd Wednesday as in the past, thus moving the pre-order date closer to release day. Last edited by oildude; 02-11-2015 at 01:00 AM. |

I love this movie. It is my second favorite Harryhausen film after his masterpeice, "Jason and the Argonauts." As much as I despise Twilight Time, I will have to purchase this—but I do it with great misgivings. I have no problem with "limited print runs," but they are well aware of the demand on some of these titles and they should be pressing enough to meet demand for at least a few months. I just wish they gave these films the same attention as Criterion. When I purchase a disc from them, I know I will be more than satisfied with my purchase.
I'm not so sure it won't sell as fast as Fright Night. |

None of the other Harryhausen movies sold out even close to day one, and this time around there will be more limits in place as well as more stock, so I'm sure it will be fine, especially considering it's a less popular movie in his filmography than Mysterious Island and Golden Voyage of Sinbad. I will still pre-order it day one though
![]() I've never seen that artwork before, strangely. It's definitely a lot more appealing than the DVD cover was! |

I know, I just have never seen the movie poster before. This movie got glossed over in all the Harryhausen/sci-fi movie books I used to read as a kid. Not enough stop motion for them, I guess.

Now we only need the following movies to complete the Harryhausen filmography on blu-ray where he worked on the animation effects:
Mighty Joe Young The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms The Three Worlds of Gulliver One Million Years B.C. (preferrably the UK longer cut) The Valley of Gwangi |
