Pagemaster! The kid is totally logical and then he gets sucked into an animated book

The One I Love - there's some supernatural stuff going on and the husband tries to deal with it from a completely logical perspective

Lost the TV show maybe?

Hey guys, I'm still in search of a character that's similar to Data in the sense that a machine who is heavily logical is trying to deal with a situation that is based in fantasy.

Many in my list aren't. However, they are extremely logical.

Sounds like Bram Stoker's Dracula - Anthony Hopkins' character is a completely logical character who continuously uses logic throughout to try and solve/understand Dracula

Professor Abraham Van Helsing: We are dealing with forces beyond all human experience, and enormous power. So guard her well. Otherwise, your precious girl will become a b!tch of the Devil! A wh0re of darkness!
Quincey P. Morris: Well, you're a sick old buzzard!
Professor Abraham Van Helsing: Hear me out, young man. She is not a random victim, attacked by mere accident, you understand? No. She is a willing recruit, a breathless follower, a wanton follower. I dare say, a devoted disciple. She is the Devil's concubine!

They said machines, not robots. Humans (and Vulcans) can be considered biological machines.

SCOOBY DOO. The process you're describing is pretty much the problem-solving technique used in every episode of SCOOBY DOO.

Scooby Doo would be good

Has anyone seen 'Lost in Space' from 1998?

I loved the robot character in that film was and it was really awesome for me to watch with how the robot analyses their surroundings when the Robinson family are exploring the ship that was infested with the spiders.

I'd love to see something like that robot character in a movie or TV show!

Lost in Space '98 is good, but really you should expand your viewing habits by watching some older stuff. Many great movies were made before the 1990s.

When I read your thread topic I immediately thought of this:

Though after reading the OP, it obviously doesn't fit.

Unless you, the audience member, are the logical being trying to figure out how the supernatural forces of Hollywood could have thought it was a good idea to spend millions of dollars on that particular script.

I fear it may forever remain a mystery. The score is good though!

And for the record, I also quite enjoy many aspects of Lost in Space 1998.
