Into Darkness about 35 times since it's initial screening, 5 at the cinema, 1 on an over seas trip, the rest on blu (but has slowed to a once in 2-3 months) holding off for the compendium. Star Trek TMP I have watched equally. so generally 1 every 1 month or a half more.

I revolve around these two!.

Some of the older films I love I tend to leave around five or even six years, simply because I watched them to death as a kid. It can spoil things over-doing them.

I used to have a ritual of watching To live and die in LA once a year (between christmas and new years eve),but have found that I've watched it one time too many.

I'm reading once a year or once every 2 years too much. I buy films that I love, therefore watch them a lot. Not everyday but way more than 1 or 2 times a year.

Once or twice a year, sometimes more.

When I was younger I went through a period where I watched Return of the King every night for a whole summer.

If has a theme like Christmas or Halloween I'll only watch them around then once a year like It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas eve, Halloween on Halloween...but films like Casablanca or Jaws i could watch all year round.

I usually watch my all time favourites about twice a year. If I really love a new release then I'll probably watch it 2-3 times in cinemas and then again when the Blu-ray is released.

On average, probably four times a year, maybe more. It really depends on the film, and my mood at the time; I have too many favorites to just pick one.

My favorites are the same. It would be like picking between your kids. You can't. Or shouldn't actually. Plus, my favorites do tend to change around in positioning depending solely on what I'm in the mood for at the time. So, I feel you.

It depends on the movie. There are films which are my favorites, like Contempt or Persona, that I can't watch 5-6 times a year, because it takes a lot of there's a lot of mental fatigue involved.

OTOH, I watch Mean Girls all the time. Or something like Legally Blonde. Those movies I can just gobble up multiple times a year. They're airy and funny and I never get tired of the humor or the characters.

Depends on the film, really. For exame, I'll watch Drive or The Social Network maybe once, twice a year. But I can't think of a single month in the last four years, since it came out on DVD, that I haven't watched Scott Pilgrim.

I use to watch Braveheart every year then found it was to much. Now I'll watch it every 2 to 3 years in fact its getting about time to watch it again.

Every two to five years. I don't watch them too often as I don't want to "wear them out" in my memory. There are plenty of good, but not top-favourite films I watch again after a few weeks or months. They are movies which are relatively new to me and I often re-watch them with friends or family, who see the film for the first time.

Hi there, here is my contribution to this thread:

Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo (1981) and The Warriors (1979) once a year.
Night of the Living Dead (1968) every 3 or 4 months, on a Sunday,
i like this movie better when watching it on a Sunday afternoon or in the early evening.
The Exorcist (1973) once or twice a year.
Alien (1979) once or twice a year.

The light and airy movies are much easier to watch on a repeat basis. I could watch any of the Marvel movies repeatedly if I had the time to do so. +1 on Legally Blonde dude. Still one of Reese Witherspoon's finest (if not the finest) roles. She took a character that could have so easily turned into a deplorable caricature and made you want to hug her instead. That's talent. I'm gonna have to check out The House Bunny at some point because I've heard that Anna Farris does the same thing. And Emma Stone is in it.

Agreed on Reese. She's just perfect in that movie.

The House Bunny is a guilty pleasure of mine, but then I love Anna Farris. And yeah, you need to check it out, Emma is just ... well you have to see it.

About once a year for The Karate Kid. Always find new things to love about it.

I'd say once every year or two for most of my favourites. Having said that, it can be surprising looking through my Blu-ray collection on here and seeing when I'd last watched certain films:

Chinatown - November 2012
Control - July 2012
The Evil Dead - October 2012
Peeping Tom - October 2011
Straw Dogs - January 2012

Seems sooner. I guess once every two or three years would be more accurate.
