This reminds me of when Marlon Brando wanted to play Jor-El as a beeping green suitcase or bagel. To paraphrase Tom Mankiewicz from that meeting, "Oh, we're screwed".

But if it's true, the movie will be released in May, with a slogan before May as "May is Coming", and they'll have the generic poster of a woman standing with her back facing us, her head turned to the side, wearing an apron, and with a kitchen in the background.

After JK Simmons wins Best Supporting Actor for Whiplash, just wait for the J. Jonah Jameson movie. Everyone wants to know the origin of why he's so angry. Fans wanted to know why Batman and Wolverine were so angry so why not with Jameson? Movie poster will have the initials "JJJ" in the center of a Daily Bugle newspaper and a cigar next to it. Movie ends with Betty telling jameson, "we got some photographer boy who wants a job." Jameson says, "What's this loser's name?" Betty says, "Peter Parker." Audience applauds. Movie ends. Credits roll. Blockbuster.

Nothing shocks me anymore after what I read about the upcoming Fantastic Four movie today.

Sony is getting uncomfortable committing large sums of money to produce each Spider-Man movie. The franchise around Garfield is basically dead due to a number of factors.

It's only a matter of time until we see this guy...

Unless Sony can get rid of Arad, don't get your hopes up. That guy is convinced that the only version of Spider-Man we should ever see is Peter Parker...But I like the idea a lot. Spider-Man 2099 and Batman Beyond could make incredibly fun films.

Wow....Sony should have taken my recommendation of making a RomCom(or drama) about Mary Jane before she started dating Peter Parker.... it could end with her meeting/going on her first date with Peter Parker....which would lead into the next Amazing Spider-Man movie

even that would be waaaaaaaaaaay better than this stupid idea

Maybe some exec at Sony got confused. They saw Ant-Man on the slate for Marvel and decided they should make an Aunt May movie to compete with that.

Well it's not April 1st. But if they are going to do a movie about Aunt May i'd rather see Rosemary Harris in the role instead of Sally Field, even tho Field is a much better actress. lol

This is so nuts how could they think this is a good idea. They would be better off to reboot yet again and call it Spectacular. Side note I thought A.S.2 was good.
