Getting in one of those tanks, the enemies don't stand much chance.
What I really like about these games is the giant sized world they create, though the environments could use more variety and animal life. Probably one of the biggest on foot/in vehicle open world games around. Seems like hundreds of miles. Witcher 3 says it'll be one of the largest RPG worlds. Was Fuel reportedly the largest, what about the Crew? Those were vehicle only games. |

Specifically, it's called Chaos.

Thanks Terminated! I like the cover art showing Rico parachuting in the air after his mark is left behind him.
I hope we get some forests and desert land with sand dunes in it. Just to mix it up from the tropical scenery each game has consistently given fans. The snow mountains were a nice change of pace in Just Cause 2, along with more cities. I hope they get the vehicle controls right this time for the trucks, cars and bikes, so they're more responsive. |

JC2 was open world. A big world at that. Not like Uncharted. Story was thin and short and a bit over the top. It was mostly about creating chaos. Travelling the world and destroying state owned infrastructure.

What I found a blast is starting the game, doing some stupid stuff for fun (doing a mission or two), then resuming the main quest. The main quest line really isn't that long, but if you start doing only map missions and territory clean up for a while it becomes quite a chore instead of the dumb fun it's supposed to be. Also, give yourself some objectives (taking over an airfield, doing some races...), and use the free transport often. I was always trying to go places with by my own (road) means and though fun at first it rapidly becomes an exercise in frustration as you invariably attract the attention of the local police and end up being chased by dozens of vehicules/ helicopters which only end up in either you being dead and restarting from where you were or managing a lucky escape but ending up possibly quite a ways from where you were headed. |
