Watched last night a new feature-length documentary (first shown on Sky Documentaries later on this week) called Django & Django, about film director Sergio Corbucci. One of the films featured was Minnesota Clay. I checked the Blu-ray.com database and discovered Explosive Media had released it on Blu-ray in Germany early last year (there was a French Blu-ray release by Gaumont nearly seven years ago). Surprised there hasn't been a US release (unless there has been one and the database hasn't been updated).
I also did a thread search, and saw there had been some discussion about the German release of Minnesota Clay in a thread in the France sub-forum for the Gaumont release. Might get the German release as the comments about it in the France thread are mostly positive. Is it possible if the starter post of this thread could be updated with the titles released in Germany by Explosive Media since it was last updated please. |

Regarding Explosive Media's Blu-ray release of western Hell Bent for Leather, how is the transfer and audio compared to Kino Lorber's US Blu-ray release?

I reviewed it recently ( https://www.nischenkino.de/die-unerbittlichen/ ) and wasn't too impressed with the transfer. But then again I do not have the Kino disc for comparison. EM is a license trader, they don't do their own restorations or anything so it may be in fact identical in all likelihood.

Have checked Explosive Media's website this week and spotted that in October they're releasing on DVD and Blu-ray, The Unguarded Moment (which Kino Lorber released on Blu-ray in the States). If this release ends up being worth getting, it's another option.
Nearly four months ago, Explosive Media released on Blu-ray, The Girl in Black Stockings. How is the transfer and audio on this release? Have checked the database here and was reminded that it was released in the States by Kino as part of a three-film Mamie Van Doren boxset. |

FantasticMrFox, thanks for updating the thread with this year's releases from Explosive Media so far (and repeating what you've said about thanks to those who have added the above titles to the database here).
![]() Out of this year's titles so far, am interested in getting: A Black Veil for Lisa (will be interesting to know how it compares to the Olive Films and 88 Films releases (the listing page for the Explosive Media release says there is Italian audio) The Girl in Black Stockings The Unguarded Moment and The Virginian. |

If anyone here does decide to get a copy of the Explosive Media Blu-ray releases of the following, can you/they comment on the transfer and audio please:
A Black Veil for Lisa The Girl in Black Stockings and The Unguarded Moment. Am thinking about getting Kino's Blu-ray release of The Unguarded Moment at either Deep Discount or in Kino's upcoming winter sale. |

One of those posts I have been meaning to get round to doing. Visited Explosive Media's website during the past month to see if any new Coming Soon titles had been added. Spotted one for this month, a Rory Calhoun-starring western called The Saga of Hemp Brown.
Have checked the website today and they now have a section on the website for Explosive Media's Q2 titles. Along with the aforementioned Rory Calhoun film, the other titles: The King's Pirate (the cast including Doug McClure) and Wings of the Hawk (the cast including Van Heflin and Julie Adams). |

yeah he does update the site, but often the titles are listed faster on Amazon or on the Plaion shop (Plaion is the distributor for EM).
On another note, we were having some discussions at the SWDb regarding their pause in spaghetti western titles. Word is they just don't sell well enough so there are currently no more. I then checked and alas, most of their spaghetti western titles are still widely available, so far, far, from sold out. So those of you who would like EM to release more spaghetti westerns, best we can do is buy them all and hope others do as well. We made an overview here: https://www.spaghetti-western.net/in..._Media_catalog |
