I'm hoping someone like Arrow or Eureka will release a Ju-on box set in the UK. Would be cool if Arrow could scoop up the rights for both the UK and North American markets.

Not necessarily, non-English speaking dominant countries don't always include English subtitles even if an official text translation exists, and no country has an English-friendly release.

what's odd is that the text is in English. why have it written in a language you are not offering anyway?

I thought Scandinavian releases tend to have English subs too but maybe I’m wrong. I agree if this were Italy, France, Germany, Portugal etc, it would be no surprise to not see English subs, but in this instance it could mean something… or not. As MechaGodzilla said, hopefully Arrow or Eureka has the rights.

It would be awesome if Arrow could get a hold of all of the Ju-on films, including The Curse video films, and release them in a nice box set like they did with Ringu and even One Missed Call. And it would also be nice if Sony made the Unrated Director’s Cut of The Grudge 2 available as well. Talk about sitting on a potential goldmine and refusing to go for it.

Yep, it has neither DTS:X nor Dolby Atmos, despite both being advertised on the back cover.
