Great fun movie, back when real people risked life and limb to entertain us. Sadly, never again will you see a flick like this, except maybe from Tarantino (Death Proof).

I still wish there was some way to obtain the TV version as well, as they added a TON of previously unseen footage to the film.

At about age 10, the line that goes approximately "You better put your head between your legs, and kiss your ass goodbye!" was just about the pinnacle of human expression at that point. I had never heard anything more glorious in a movie. Oh to be young again!

Ha! I remember having one of those silver race jackets Burt wears in the film. I would always pretend play that I was Hooper...tricking my parents with my stunts.

Saw this about a million times on cable as a kid. I cannot wait to watch this with my son.

It was the huge barroom brawl that got me as a kid, I thought that was the coolest thing I'd ever seen up to that point.

I remember seeing the film in the summer of 1978 at a drive-in movie theater, and over the years on cable tv. This movie has always been a favorite of mine, and something I will definitely be picking up.

Seeing movies like this again, that made an impression on you as a kid, but that you barely remember, is sort of a surreal experience. As far as Hooper goes, it's all about the rocket car jump for me. Yet I know there are a ton of other memories that will be triggered. It's almost like seeing your dreams on a screen.
