Absolutely immense on every level. There is so much scope here for great 3D, loads of stuff flying towards the camera, loads of layers to be exploited, great environments. here's hoping for a knockout 3D presentation!
Thanks Levcore! Looks great. Totally cool voice of the main villain. I like how this new trailer shows more of the story and plot, then shows the action. Good move to lure in more viewers.

I hope the fans out there decide to see it in theaters instead of just waiting for it to arrive on video. It'll give a clear message that the fans are still there and new fans also. A great theater turnout on opening week secures a sequel in most cases.

Hopefully it avoids the box office sting of Dredd 3D, which was a pretty cool action movie that got sadly overlooked in theaters.

Yes.
I'm pretty sure this will be a conversion, so here's hoping it's on the level of Pacific Rim's 3D conversion. A lot of this looks like practical effects, so it'll take more work to convert with less CGI.

Yeah, that's a nice touch to the end of the trailer.

Agreed. WB supports 3D for the new releases from what I've seen.

I agree about the villain, Immortan Joe. He looks and sounds fantastic. I just love everything i've seen and heard from him and i can't wait to see more. I love villains like this, and i love how crazy everything has gotten in the apocalypse now. Just absolute insanity where one megalomaniacal warlord can have so much power over his followers. poor Max has really stumbled into some big trouble here!

Yeah, it's going to be a battle to free himself from the front of that vehicle in the trailers. A great villain can help make for a great movie.

It'll be interesting to see how much Charlize Theron's character helps him out.

There's no comparison, Dredd was an indie film and the theatrical release was botched with horrible stills release (remember that one where they made Dredd head bigger) and a crappy trailer. There's no way anyone could tell Dredd would be anything but more suckage following the Stallone film.

Mad Max is released by Warner and the trailers and stills are astonishing and the buzz is through the roof.

Dredd was killed by Lionsgate, on purpose. They didn't give a drokk.

Glad to hear it. That sounds promising.

True, but that is the theatrical movie, and this is the preorder thread for the German disc at the moment. Interesting to have a blu-ray thread before it hits theaters, but we have box art and everything. I guess because this is the 3D forum we could merge them. No big deal either way.

Amazon.de uses 12-31 usually as a placeholder. I doubt it's the actual release date.

I'm surprised it's getting released worldwide in many locations on the same day, but good to hear May 15th, 2015.

I have no idea what to expect with the 3D conversion but hopefully strong 3D.

Gotta say that I'm envious that you get to see it in IMAX 3D.
I wish they would show it in the U.S. in IMAX. It doesn't make sense that they aren't. Major bummer.

Edit: I just checked the IMAX site and does say that it's playing in two theaters in the U.S.!!!
Great news!!!
One on 42nd Street in New York and the Chinese Theater in Hollywood!
Bam! I'll be going to the Chinese to see this one.

Nice one, i'm glad you managed to find an Imax screening! To me this is the most exciting movie of 2015, dare i say of all time as far as i'm concerned. I've been waiting for this since falling in love with the MM trilogy in the mid 90's. I am seeing it on the 14th but also on the 16th too, both at the Imax.

Hey Levcore. Yes, I can tell you're a major fan of Mad Max. I usually see all movies Saturday that are released on a Friday due to my schedule, but am very much looking forward to Mad Max Road Fury (and the PS4 game too). Mad Max RF is the kind of movie fans of major movie car chases must see! The carnage looks insane.

A possible challenge with the 3D conversion here will be the fact that they use a lot of real effects, as Miller said very little of it is CGI. I can imagine if they composite more enemies into one shot than might have actually been there, that will help speed up the conversion as that would help with the 3D placement and stereo conversion for the 3D layers, using the different added enemies to help keep the layers separate. Not sure if that's the case though. It might be all real time footage.

If they have a conversion team as great as the one for Jurassic Park 3D, we'll be in great shape. I think Miller will want to go all out for the 3D here to celebrate this and the hopeful continuation of Mad Max.

Yeah bro! This is gonna be awesome!
I just reserved seats for Friday the 14th.
The Chinese Theater IMAX has a 94' X 46' screen!

That's new information for me, thanks. It seemed too far out, because the window is much smaller than that now. Hopefully we'll get a real date on the 3D release soon. Personally, it was reassuring to me that the 3D blu-ray is definitely coming out.

I have a hunch that Miller will have really embraced the 3D in this. He's such a visual film maker and even though Fury Road apparently has little CG (although I'll wager there is probably plenty in there) i really think he will have wanted to provide the audience with a great 3D experience to help immerse them in his post apocalyptic world. In 6 days i shall see at least! This feels very surreal knowing how close it is now, something i've been waiting decades for is literally just around the corner.

I really want to check out the game when it comes out but i don't have an Xbox One or a PS4! I'm almost tempted to buy one of those just to play the Fury Road game. Let me know your thoughts if you pick it up!
