I'm in almost the same boat. Ah well, that's the way it goes. Boy the cover on this sure is an improvement over that DVD though. One of the ugliest archive DVDs in my collection.

Received my Breakheart Pass Blu-ray today. The kind of cases Kino use are as close to an eco case they can be without actually being one. The front side has absolutely no protection whatsoever, it's like it's not even there it goes so much inwards. Same thing with Twilight Times new cases. Both suck, hard.

Just watched this on Amazon prime, first time seeing it and thought it was fantastic. Really love the way it was shot, almost like the whole film was dreamlike. The animatronic Buffalo was monstrous-looking, didn't take away from the film for me at all.

I love the surreal atmosphere of THE WHITE BUFFALO too. Now with ORCA coming out, the Dino giant monster trilogy is complete. I know KING KONG has not seen a domestic US release, but the widely available Studio Canal transfer is not bad.

I donīt like "The White Buffalo" at all. To me it was the worst Bronson film of the 70īs along with "Chino" and "Cabo Blanco".

This is one of the funniest movies I ever saw when it was on HBO many years ago. The film was shot in 1.33 AR with the projector (in theaters) providing the mask to 1.85. When shown on TV at the 1.33 AR, you can see the crew pushing the White Buffalo on a set of tracks.

I just bought the blu after discovering the movie recently on digital and loving it. Found it interesting that the blu is 1.78:1 while the digital copy has the wider original 1.85:1 ratio. I feel like the digital copy also has a bit better detail - I feel like the grain is stronger on the digi - but I may be crazy haha. Makes me think a better br treatment is possible but still glad to own the physical copy!
