Ahh ok, yeah they'll ship immediately on that, or the next day anyway.

Yeah, see, the thing to keep in mind here is that we're dealing with video games vs. movies so while the netflix comparison is apt in some respects it just doesn't completely apply to games. I mean, people don't wait in line for days in advance for movies. Well, few and far between. The supply and demand is just different. That said, Gamefly is the only online rental provider that actually appears to be growing i.e., new distribution centers cropping up and new ones on the way. So as far as the rental services go, these are the guys you want to stick with.

As for game availability, it can change over night. I've had "low availability" games ship the very next day. I generally only keep about 7 or 8 games in my queue and they are all top picks so I'm assured I'll get what I want. Still, don't let low availability titles fool you. I put Manhunt II in my queue a week after release (and while it showed low availability) and had two games out at the time (I'm on the 2 game plan). I sent one back and three days later I got it.

Yeah don't I wish netflix branched out into video games. They'd destroy gamefly. I think gamefly will still be worth it for me since a lot of the games I end up keeping, so really I am getting more games sent out to me since I am not doing the whole sending back all the time.

The one game really low on my queue (a ps2 game) is still the only one shipped out. What like, more than 2 days now and they still haven't shipped any of those games I mentioned. Now they all no longer say low. Pretty crappy that 2 games out really just means 1 and another if your lucky.

That's pretty crappy if they haven't sent out your second game yet. You bought two at the same time right? So they should have sent two new rentals that same day.

I sent a game back on monday and have many of the same popular titles you have listed in my queue at the top. I'll let you know if any of those get sent. I've been a member for exactly a year now, maybe that will have something to do with it. Shouldn't but you never know.

If you do buying it ends up being alright. It is nice to get a brand new case and manual with the game you rented if you decide to keep it. Even nicer is with new releases. The call of duty 4 they sent me looked as if it had never been used once. Not even a smudge anywhere on it. Decided to keep it and was nice to get it at discount.
