The thing is, both of these are actually good choices, but the movie was such a misfire, that they had nothing to work with. Arnold, the Terminator, playing a cold hearted (literally) machine like villain who has lost his soul? George Clooney as a billionaire playboy by day and a vigilante by night? Even Uma Thurman was a splendid choice for Posion Ivy and she maybe comes off best in the movie, but in reality, the cast in that movie is pretty damn good, it's just a shame they were in that movie.

I'm sorry, but you just can't top that idea in terms of casting awfulness...

Although the idea of the stoic & taciturn Clint Eastwood playing the rather expansive and very expressive John Huston comes close. White Hunter Black Heart was a cool movie in many ways, but Clint trying to emulate Huston was a fascinating watch to say the least.

Its certainly nowhere near the worst but I will never understand why Russell Crowe got the Robin Hood role and Orlando Bloom got the Kingdom of Heaven role when its very obvious that both films would be better (even better in the case of Kingdom of Heaven DC) had they swapped.

Which brings to mind Kevin Costner as Robin Hood. Not a great choice either.
