Want to see this one bad. US release is 2/17. I want this plainarchive steel but not sure I can wait for it. Wonder when it will come out. I'm assuming like June/July?

I went to the 2nd screening, and I don't recall anybody being there for it unfortunately. (Would definitely remember if Spiderman had been there lol) but I thought 99 Homes was great. One of my faves at the Fest and I saw about 20 last year.

OP updated with a couple of pictures from PLAIN on FB. I have put the pictures (even the first one) in SPOILER tags so the first post won't be a mile long (unless you click the "reveal spoiler")...

It's won't be out for months, there's several releases coming out before it. It was just released in theaters in S. Korea I believe.

I've only just recently seen this movie (on Bruisermoore's advice) and I thought it was very intriguing.
Mesmerized by a lot of noses.

Not sure if it's a movie I'd like to see more than once though, so this release, how gorgeous it may probably be, might not be for me.

I doubt it, but who knows, if there's issues with Oldboy it could always get pushed back and this could come out first, but I don't expect we'll see this until closer to the Fall at the earliest.

Ugh... wish they would plan these releases around the NA release! lol It comes out tomorrow and I have yet to see it. Debating whether I should pick up the regular release now and then decide on this one when I see it, or if I should just continue to wait for more details and hope to buy it when it is finally released... decisions, decisions...

I always buy on release day (especially if it's <$20) if it's something I really want to see, sell the digital copy for $5 or so and then sell it on eBay after the steel is released. I can usually break even or very close to it, so it's like a free rental for a few months.

I wouldn't recommend blind-buying this movie. Probably better off Redbox-ing it and if you like it, wait for the Steelbook. Not super-rewatchable anyway, I can't imagine anyone getting more than a couple viewings from the NA release while waiting for the Steelbook.

I love the art for the box on the Japanese Limited Edition set. I would be pleased if the Plain release has that as the slipcover.

plain archive always use unique artwork so they wont be using that. thats too generic for plain archive as well

It could be similar, but with Plain's creative touches and printing processes such as gold foil or something.

They've used that logo and image quite a bit in their marketing for the release on FB and Instagram, so there's a good chance we see something using it from them, and I bet it'll be the slip.

Purple metallic paper with gold foil embossed Fox logo and lettering could be amazing.
