I'll wait for this, any clue the release plans for this at all? If it's a 2yr wait or similar I might not.

They announced plans to do it quite a while ago but suffered delays, I believe due to trying to get the sequels off the "index" in Germany. I don't know if they still plan to do it, but they certainly seemed serious about it a while back (I contributed some video archive material to both this and the Army Of Darkness Ultimate Edition around the same time).

Is it true that the Darkman transfer is different from the Universal one, no grain-scrubbing or heavy DNR? Maybe they worked on the untampered HD file.

It was originally due end of May when it was first announced IIRC but it's been but back twice now

Not really, but the DVDS are such poor quality I've struggled to 'get into' them. The first was really good.

This drops to £14.99 I'm in and try the sequels again although Im not expecting a change in view.

Darkman is a literal port of the Shout disc (with the Shout intros taken out)

Darkman 2 & 3 are very mediocre HD transfers. swear some of it was upscaled. audio is Dolby Digital 2.0 on the sequels as well

Not shocked, they are porting a ton of Shout discs in the future I bet.
