Thank God!! This is by far one of my favorite comedies of all time!

Yes!!! I really hope they use the poster art for the cover instead of the god awful photoshop job they did for the DVD re-release, but I know in my heart they will. Although I cannot imagine that this time they'd miss the opportunity to put Bradley Cooper on the cover, so maybe we'll get a new one?

I showed it to a friend and they thought it was the stupidest thing they'd ever seen. I don't get it. This is comedy gold. "In order for it to work, we would somehow have to be able to repeatedly generate random numbers between 1 and 20. That would take some sort of super mainframe computer and we don't have one. So all is lost."

I could have sworn I read this wasn't getting a Bluray release so I ended up buying a copy on Amazon HD.

Wain did say in an interview they offered Universal this material back on the film's 10th anniversary and they had no interest, but I figure they changed their mind, what with the Netflix TV prequel about to happen.

In general I feel like they've backed away from that in the last couple of years. There have been exceptions (Weird Science), but on the whole we're just getting old masters.

The film has been available streaming in HD from a number of places for a long time. Does anyone know how that looked?

Not only that but it's a prequel! The movie was the last day of camp, and the series will be the first day (or at least the beginning of camp, dunno if they'd sustain the one day for the entire season)

sweet. i finally picked up the dvd about 6 months ago, but it was only $4 shipped. think i'll upgrade for this one. one of my faves.

Fantastic news! I honestly never expected it to happen, definitely in my top 5 most viewed movies all time.

On a related note, who else loved They Came Together, I actually loved Wanderlust too, but TCT is much closer to WHAS. Those guys just get me.

I love this movie, but I honestly don't know if anything by these guys is a safe blind buy. It's very eccentric and strange. I might see if it pops up on streaming first.

Thanks for the tip. But thats the thing. I have to get it on disc somehow. Its not available to stream anywhere (what i can get).

Did you see Wanderlust or They Came Together?

I'd call Wanderlust a fair comparison of what to expect and They Came Together was WHAS had WHAS been made in 2014 rather than 2001.

Must have an appreciation for farce and occasional jokes that don't land on purpose.
