You're right actually. Warner released the second one over there also and it is region free. Ignore my last post cuzzin, it'll probably be region free. I'll confirm it anyway when I receive it.

I watched it last night, and the best I can say is that it wasn't as bad as I was expecting after reading all the reviews. There was one thing that really bothered me though.

[Show spoiler]Angela bit the doctor to prove she wasn't infected, but it was being assumed that the parasite was keeping her immune. I suppose it's possible that she could have been immune to the effects of the virus, but still a carrier, but she underwent blood tests at the beginning of the movie and was found to be clean. And if the parasite was keeping her free of the virus, then the doctor testing negative proved nothing. Of course, it turns out that she never had the parasite during the time she was on the ship, but the doctors were assuming that she did after seeing the video of La Niña Medeiros transmitting it to her.

Did I miss something? Anyways, setting aside the third entry, it reminded me a bit of Alien 3. After two fantastic movies, I was expecting the next one to take it to the next level, but all I got was a subpar retread. On the bright side, I thought the blu-ray looked great. Here's BD Info:

None of the previous movies got a U.S. blu-ray release, so I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. They did get Canadian releases though, so that's a possibility.

1-2 looks the best on the japanese discs but is missing subs, would love 1-4 boxset with those kind of quality transfers and subs offcourse.

This ES disc seems really good and is Warner. Shame they didn't utilized all the space for higher bitrate and 24-bit audio.

lists it as having a 7.1 DTS-HD MA in Spanish as well as English subs. Going by that site it seems it sounds great also. Also Amazon hardly ever gets the specs of movies right for some reason. Like I said, I ordered it (it's on its way already); if you want confirmation I could reply here again to confirm both. I imagine it'll get here in no more than 3 weeks

You got in from Spain to the US in less than a week? What shipping method did you select? I'll be curious to see if you can confirm if it's region free.

I actually used the cheapest method in the site I ordered it from (dvdgo.com). It was around 11 euros but I got some sort of discount (perhaps because it was my first order with them) so the shipping came out to like 6 american dollars. Yeah the delivery estimate was something crazy like 3-4 days from the day it shipped and I thought it was way off so I just expected it to be at least one week from when it shipped (so like one a half weeks at least total), but it actually did get here within that time .

Saw this over the weekend. It was OK, nothing special. The hyper-fast zombie thing is getting old, though. One more thing, those Spaniards really have a thing for logos, it's very annoying. Why do we have to sit through a million logos before the film starts? Who cares who financed the film - get the show on the road.
