The current show bears little resemble to the early episodes, its come along way and deserves a second chance.

This is disappointing news. I love what these two characters bring to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The ensemble has really gotten good on the show this season. I don't want to lose these two to another series.

I also don't want to lose them (well, mostly Bobbi) to another series. I like Bobbi as part of AoS. And it's disappointing because, well, it's another spy show. They'll both mostly be doing the same things. Hopefully there's enough of a difference to justify a spinoff, but I'll watch to give it a chance, definitely.

Scrapped. Not happening.

The news that ABC were plotting an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff focusing on Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) was met with a mixed response from fans, especially as many fans were worried that it would mean both characters leaving that series.

Well, that's no longer an issue as Deadline reports that ABC and Marvel have decided to put the breaks on their plans for the sow which was being developed by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and co-executive producer Paul Zbyszewski. Details were scarce, but we did know that it would focus on the two characters mentioned above. Chances are it's been scrapped.
The site also mentions that the network are still working on a possible series with John Ridley, but he may be too busy with a second season of American Crime to prioritise that.

Marvel's Mockingbird Pilot Gets Pilot Order; Now Titled Marvel's Most Wanted

Despite putting a halt on the “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” spinoff, which was proposed earlier this year, ABC is closing in on a deal to order a pilot for a project centered around Mockingbird, Variety has learned exclusively.

Titled “Marvel’s Most Wanted,” the drama will focus on popular “SHIELD” characters Adrianne Palicki‘s Bobbi Morse (also known as Mockingbird) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter. The two actors will topline the pilot and prospective series.

“SHIELD” producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-created the project for Marvel and ABC Studios, co-writing the pilot. They will serve as showrunners and exec producers together with Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb also exec producing.

Insiders say the series is not a spinoff, per se, but rather an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story. Though plot details are scarce at this point, “Marvel’s Most Wanted” will follow the pair and their adventures together.

At this time, ABC has not made any decisions regarding premiere date or a path of introduction, such as introducing the new show as a planted episode during “SHIELD.”

An “Agents of SHIELD” offshoot was originally reported in April, but was soonafter shot down with the network deciding not to move forward. However, during New York Upfronts this spring, ABC president Paul Lee alluded to the possibility of the series being resurrected, teasing, “It certainly is a possibility of spinning them off.”

Lee added that “SHIELD” had hit its creative strive, suggesting that the net didn’t want to mess around with a formula that was working — which includes Palicki and Blood’s storylines. “We absolutely love those characters on ‘SHIELD,'” he said, at the time.

But with “Agents” coming back for Season 3, in addition to “Agent Carter” returning for Season 2, there’s still a large Marvel appetite at ABC. Also in the works at the network, is a top-secret Marvel project helmed by “American Crime” creator John Ridley.

I still say a big "nope" to this, and I really like Bobbi/Hunter and the actors who play them. I just think they need to stay on AoS. I'm much more excited to hear about what Ridley has in store.

I think this is a wise move, from a practical standpoint. It lessens the burden on the SHIELD series, to balance so many main characters at once. This way, they can broaden things out a bit, and have all the characters on both shows gain more dimension. I'd probably watch the new show, if for nothing else than to see Bobbi and Hunter constantly bicker between missions.

I'm guessing by the title Most Wanted that Bobbi and Lance are going to be accused of a crime and are on the run or they're working as bounty hunters.

Delroy Lindo Joins ABC's S.H.I.E.L.D. Spin-Off MARVEL'S MOST WANTED As 'Dominic Fortune'

We have our first official casting announcement for Marvel and ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.D. spin-off, which is currently being dubbed Marvel's Most Wanted. Delroy Lindo (Ransom, Blood & Oil, The Chicago Code, Kidnapped, Malcolm X, Get Shorty) will join the previously announced Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood as none other than Dominic Fortune - the Marvel Comics fortune hunter created back in 1975 by Howard Chaykin, who went on to feature in the 2010 miniseries, Hawkeye And Mockingbird.

No details on how the character will be integrated into the story, but it's a safe bet he'll be an ally to our loved-up heroes. Marvel’s Most Wanted was created and written by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. EP Jeffrey Bell and writer Paul Zbyszewski, with Jeph Loeb also on board as executive-producer. No premiere date has been set just yet.

I doubt they will join Hydra. Will probably be part of the fallout from events happening in Captain America: Civil War

It will be interesting to see if Captain America: Civil War impacts Agents of SHIELD at all.
