I pre-ordered the French version and just got a message that it's not in fact a steelbook, but`metal effect`!

The recently released US-Version has a new Videoencode. I guess there isn't any information yet if that new encode will also be used for this Studio Canal Steelbook release...

Got my copy today. Despite the already mentioned flaws: the empty spine and no inside artwork, the missing Judgment Day logo, it is definitely a nice steel. The finish is flat, the artwork is superior compared to the first edition, and there are partial glossy raised effects (endoskeleton parts). Also, love the glossy raised "T2" on the back - how cool is that!

It's a very pretty steelbook imo, but why there is no title on the spine is a mystery to me. Anyone knows a good way to put a title on the spine yourself? I only had the original T2 Blu-ray amaray release without any extra's, so it's definitely an upgrade for me.
