I picked-up a really nice 1080p Boot of this recently. Very nice quality. Hopefully, that means it's been rescanned for BR release!

Out of curiosity, where do these come from?

*Edit: I see there is an HD version available on iTunes? Does that mean someone just burns them?

I assume so. Likely where mine came from. I found mine at a Street Fair in the Bay Area. There are lots of folks selling stuff that is readily available as Torrents and D/Ls for free.

I too want this on blu ray. I watched for the first time earlier in the year. It was breathtaking and I wanna see it with high picture quality

I just joined the Disney Movie club a couple of weeks ago and as I was perusing the Choices I freaked for a moment seeing it listed... but then when I went to its page... it was just a DVD... sigh.

I was recently reading a bit about this - I didn't know that Smith Wrote most of the narration for the Film. He worked a two-year shooting schedule on this. Amazing.
