Great...prepare for another Escape from New York type PQ/AQ argument thread. The original release of this already came in at 4/5 on the PQ and 3.5/5 on the AQ. Not sure what they're trying to accomplish with these re-releases. Universal has a bunch of unreleased movies I'd much rather see hit the shelves. Village of the damned, The Serpent And The Rainbow, etc.

The procrastinators like me that haven't gotten either. :P

Not to anyone with decent vision. The rating on this site is mind-boggling.

I've already got the Arrow release. I'll have to see what Scream offers before I make any decisions concerning double dipping.

Haven't gone region free (yet) so I'm definitely interested in this release.

I'm in for this. Here's hoping SF can get the rights to Serpent and the Rainbow.

The artwork on those figurines is done like that on purpose.

The screencaps look poor. Maybe in motion it comes out a little better, but this to me looks like another old, crappy Universal DVD-era transfer. But, yes, they have released worse.

I'll be importing Arrow's region B.. It has a good amount of features and runs less than what SF will charge for their CE. Arrow's Blu is already better than Universal's and guaranteed to have the better compression than Shout. I hope to be proven wrong.

Is there a thread or link that someone would kindly direct me to that lists the non-unlocked BD players that play Arrow (and some other) releases? I believe the bulk of them are Panasonic and use a trick involving the "title" button?

There are some listed in this old thread: http://www.hidefninja.com/community/...for-bds.16109/

I have the DMP-BDT210 and have been able to play every region locked Arrow disc I've tried so far (and two Second Sight discs as well).

I guess this release will be good for those who don't import, but man are some of these recent releases just flat out lazy! What's with all of the re-releasing movies that already have the same or even better transfers?

Seems like they just gave up on releasing unreleased titles.

They are still giving us never released titles like the Sleepaway Camp sequels amongst others as well as movies that deserve a region 1 special edition release like People Under The Stairs. Thanks SF.

They need to stop releasing titles that have already been released. I won't be buying. Extras mean nothing to me...... Go get Demon Knight, Bordello Blood.
