This popped up on the Astron-6 FB page earlier this morning.

Loving the different poster art pieces for this.

Can anyone post a pic (or link) of the double sided poster available through Shout?

I've only seen the boobie side of the poster.

I'm glad these guys are finally getting their due with a quality release for what seems like (won't see this til next week) a really cool film, especially the hell Troma put them through. I'd still really like to see this documentary, but it's nowhere to be found as far as I know. I'd just like to hear all of what Troma put them through from their mouths directly.

Having been burned today in the great Mad Max steelbook fiasco from Best Buy I had some extra money due to the refunds I got. I saw the Shout Factory sale and picked up this and pre-ordered Demon Knight. I can't wait for this one to get here. Looks like it will be lots of fun.

I'm hoping my guy got me one, but I don't know, he seemed worried about not getting enough himself. It's hard to imagine Mondo won't release their own version with any one of the great alternate pieces of art. That Egyptian one is especially cool.

This arrived today and I just finished watching it. Overall I quite know how to feel about it. It was good, but it's definitely not going to be everybody's cup of tea. I don't know how many times I could watch it, but I will say it'd make a great pairing with Grindhouse.

I got mine this morning and watched it before work. I loved this movie. Easily one of the best and funniest movies I have seen this year.

It comes with a slip! Shout Factory confirmed on the comments on their page for the film, and beatnikslacker posted a pic:

probably the only movie in my collection where I decided to put away the slip cover and just have it with the reverse art which fits the movie better any way. and yeah, amazon damaged my slip cover on the bottom left but even if it was mint i like the reverse art better.

watched about an hour of it last night and liked what I saw. gonna start watching it from the beginning in a few minutes.

I liked this a lot, but it's not as funny as Manborg or Fathers Day. For me, Manborg, with the Bio-Cop trailer at the end, is by far their funniest. Still think Editor is a no-brainer for any Astron 6 fans or Italo-horror fans.

Picked this up this past weekend for a really good price at Moviestop. For $6.75 used you can't beat that.

Great visuals (amazing cinematography, set design) and a killer score. So many great refrences and spoofs to many genre classics. The kills were ultra stylish and brutal. All practical FX, too. Whoop whoop! Not as many jokes in this one as in Father's Day, but I liked the humor better, if that makes sense^^ The ending doesn't make any sense, which makes perfect sense. They just spoofed all the gialli which were great until the very end when they present you the killer and you're like WTF!? I love how they made fun of it. Overall, a great giallo-hommage.

PS: the unwritten rule in a giallo, that every woman onscreen has to be absolutely stunning...... well, they stay true to that!

5/5

The ending and overall dream logic are very reminiscent of The Beyond. I feel like they kinda copped out by not sticking to the giallo genre and referencing a lot of non-giallo movies ('80s Fulci, Three Mothers), but it's a fun romp. And yeah, holee moley, them's some nice lady butts throughout that movie.

I just picked up the Canadian Release of this (through Raven Banner, no mention of Scream Factory) and was really surprised it has a reversible cover: the Cover from the first post and this:

and HMV is carrying it for $16.95 CAD

The Canadian release is very nice indeed, I love the reversed cover art. So very giallo.

The contents appear to be the same as what is on the Scream Factory release. I just added it to the database so hopefully it will show up soon.

Fans of Astron-6/The Editor, have you seen the new teaser for their upcoming web series? It looks just as magnificently bizarre as we have come to expect!

What films would you say were referenced in the most obvious way? I'd like to make sure I see them before this. TIA
