No Pro support on this one. Isn't it one of SONY's mandates that all games after October of last year have support?
Weird that a lot of reviews says there's framerate issues. I've encountered none. DF seems to think the X1 has issues when suspend mode is used (which is not unique to this game). |

Yeah I've had no noticable frame issues. I rolled around those flames that are heavily featured in the videos and there's no slowdown. The only glitching I get is on the load screens, but nothing that affects the game. Sucks this is affecting the reviews. Camera is a hair wonky but mostly fine, controls aren't the tightest which is causing me the most trouble of anything. With the initial reviews I was second guessing my preorder but having played a couple of hours I'm having fun and I find the game amusing

Code was used already. Thanks for offering it.
I was in gamestop tuesday looking to pick up some lego dimensions figures and the employee was playing it. Looked like a lot of fun and if I didn't have to re-up plus, I would have picked it up right there without a doubt. |

Pretty lame that anyone can just go in a store or to amazon now and buy a copy but the people who backed it are sitting around twiddling their thumbs. Mistakes happen and everything, but Playtonic really bungled this release for backers...I don't feel like backers are entitled to an early copy or anything like that but I don't think it's too much to ask that we at least have it on release day lol EDIT: They actually finally tweeted that if backers haven't received their copy, to email them. So I did that just now. Hopefully they respond in a timely manner and are actually helpful.. Last edited by eightslicesofpie; 04-13-2017 at 03:25 PM. |

Just got out of World 4 and man was it abysmal. Bland design, boring gameplay, annoying enemies...there was just nothing fun about that experience. I scraped by and got the bare minimum Pagies I could manage and hope that'll be enough to get by lol. I have 73 or 74 Pagies now and I know you need 100 to get through to the final boss so hopefully I can manage with the final world + revisiting for a couple Pagies in the other ones.
The controls in this just do not feel very tight to me, which makes it not very fun to play considering that's 90% of what a platformer is. I hated World 4, thought World 2 was okay at best, generally liked World 1 and really liked World 3. I hope it ends on a strong note with World 5, guess I'll find out tomorrow. All in all I'm not too thrilled about buying this (it seemed like a less inherently risky Kickstarter than most), and I'm basically only finishing it because I have it lol. I think I probably am less nostalgic for these games than I thought I was two years ago when I pledged to the campaign, plus coupled with the fact that it's not even "great" by most standards is making it a lackluster experience. I'll just beat it this week (definitely not getting all collectibles because some challenges are just hugely frustrating and annoying) and sell it, I guess. I rarely replay games that I really enjoy, so I highly doubt I will wanna revisit this one. Also, Rextro's minigames are the most absurdly terrible things in this game and I can't fathom why Playtonic thought they were A) A good idea in the first place and B) Kept them after making/playing them |

There were definitely some parts of the game where I had fun but for the most part it was annoying/frustrating, it felt more like a chore collecting Pagies than playing a game. I'm not sure if it's maybe because I'm not as nostalgic for these collectathons as I thought I was when I kickstarted the game two years ago or if Yooka-Laylee just isn't great (likely a combination of the two).
It's mainly the controls that sent me into a spiral of frustration, The way Flappy Flight controls is just baffling to me and I hate using it. I pushed through and got the minimum 100 Pagies to fight Capital B but that final fight is so irritating and long I just stopped attempting it and am planning to sell it this weekend to get a few bucks toward Mario Kart 8 Deluxe |
