Given how shit most studio-mastered DVDs are these days I don't think the PAL/NTSC resolution thing makes a whole lot of difference.
What's the running time of the bonus DVD? [edit] The BBFC has a listing for two 75-minute parts of The Madness of Max, so that's two and a half hours. Nice. |

I bought the US Limited Edition Trilogy last Black Friday for only $24.99 from Amazon.com. Maybe it will get a decent deal next month in Black Friday as well.

I didn't realise the anthology set had a bonus disc with it, annoying! I've got the 2D Blu on the way to me now, but would have liked the extra disc. Might just wait and pick up the set once it's in a sale, then sell the 4 films I already own. Sounds like a fairly meaty documentary on that disc.

Same here. And not simply because "it's A BONUS DISC!!!!" but because these movies have been criminally underrepresented in terms of extras over the years, getting a chunky documentary about them is something I've wanted for a long, long time. I'd have to keep my MGM Mad Max Blu-ray but the rest can be sold on because they're exactly the same in this set.

I had just purchased the 5.99 version when I posted (as mentioned by Porco Azzurro) and was just downloading the Deluxe/26 track version thanks to Amazon's Auto-rip feature
![]() Did the same with the John Carpenter's Lost Themes - bought the CD and got the MP3 via autorip (with the extra tracks). |

For anyone who is interested the soundtrack is available for only £5.99 on CD on Amazon (at the time I post this anyway):
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mad-Max-Orig.../dp/B00XB6URQC (posted link because there is an import version that costs more available as well). You also get the MP3 version included as part of their 'Autorip' feature. I was pleased to discover it was the full deluxe version, not just the tracks on the CD. I don't know if that was a mistake or intentional, but it was nice to see anyway. The MP3 version is currently 8.99 on its own so... |

On the other hand there is Interstellar soundtrack deluxe digipack for only £4.99 so I don't really know. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00OTB14S...ing=UTF8&psc=1 |

![]() To be clear: I expect the CD will be 17 tracks when it arrives, but I downloaded 26 MP3s, that were included because of Amazon's Autorip feature. Ideally I would have preferred to buy the deluxe download in a lossless high quality format, but that doesn't seem to be around anywhere I can find now. (Thanks for the heads up on the Interstellar OST too BTW!) |
