She could be all-digital like The Jungle Book.

I don't agree. You're probably talking older looking actors of a certain age made between ten to twenty years younger. In that case, you're right. But here's an actress looking younger than she is with a face that easily can look about 5 to even 10 years (which wouldn't be necessary imo) younger than that. Much like they can do and did with DiCaprio. I can see them doing it wit Elijah Wood too. She's has one of those faces. If you think otherwise, that's OK.

I'm going to guess the biggest reason why there seems to be hesitation here is that Disney is well aware of how Tinkerbell has become a sexual icon, and it is partly embedded in that character's essence. To a degree you could say a lot of Disney female characters are sexualized, but not to the 'official' degree that Tinkerbell has been.

Am I the only girl in the world who never had a speck of interest in Tinker Bell, not even as a child? I thought fairies were okay, but I never cared for Tinker Bell or Peter Pan (one of the few Disney movies I don't have, though I will pick it up if it gets a Signature version).

Not sure. I'd ask the other 5 girls on here.

The movie is heavy on charm...I think the film is taken for granted in animation circles, but it's an audience favorite.

Native Americans are fair game, but two several second shots of a centaur in a 1940 film have to be removed because the world will end otherwise.

Racism against Native Americans and African Americans are both equally terrible. They are the most screwed-over races in American history.

Yeah, I just don't understand why Disney picks and chooses what to censor. It's like how they deal with smoking; they cut out Goofy smoking in Saludos Amigos, yet Pinocchio and Peter Pan (as you can see in the video) are allowed?

Dumbo can't be censored because of the plot, but it has racist undertones (Jim crow? the "roustabouts" all portrayed as black men). Sunflower is racist, just like Song of the South, but you can't deny it exists. Preserve and educate if you're going to keep some of it, I say. Don't pick and choose.

No, it is mixed up. They edit out racist parts but still keep those that are just as bad. They should just put out a warning on every Blu-ray, like what Warner Bros does with the Looney Tunes collection. I despise censorship, even if it's for the right reasons because you're revisioning history.

But hey, if this new Tink film is all about the 1953 film through her eyes, then they don't have to include that Native American scene because she wasn't there when it happened!

I'm still amazed that all the cheapquels were canned- except for Tinker Bell's series, because she apparently prints money just like Tweety Bird.

In my mind, fairies don't grant wishes, they bite people. That's why we need Hoggle to spritz them and keep them away.

They might have stopped, I'm not sure. It was just weird they were an exception to begin with.

Disney seems to have moved on to live/CG films anyway.
