my brother and I were constantly adjusting the outputs until we switched the spaekers. spent a good hour playing with everything until it was perfect. clear voices and very heavy bass.
PS3/4 has the highest processing power and best grain resolve of any player I've tested.

Grain resolve? Do you even know what you're talking about here?

Yes, absolutely! Most $60 players have so little processing power that they cannot resolve any grain period. The picture looks smooth, like it has been through DNR. And sometimes full of smeary artifacts like a You Tube Video, the water painting effect.

I think you may be confusing players with displays. Most BD players I have tested, even the off brand ones, do a good job with HD feeds. The problem many people have is they have their DNR or mosquito noise reduction turned on.

My display is a 4K XBR and Blus via PS4 look sensational. I also have a $50 region free Seiki and a $80 Sony, model number escapes me at the moment, but it's about 2-3 years old. The cheap players have very limited menus, but everything that can be turned off is. Both cheap players are smear central. And the bigger the TV, the worse it looks.

Oppo is a nice player for picture. Panasonic makes many good players. Xbox One is also great.

Just going by what I'm seeing.

I wouldn't buy anything made by Seiki in the first place. My Sony players do a good job though.

Yeah no doubt it's crap. Any good region free players you recommend?

Sherwood used to make good region free players out of the box, but they started locking them a couple years ago.

Sorry, but my $40 region-free Seiki-sr212s puts out an image every bit as good as my Panasonic. It looks nothing like a Youtube video. "Grain resolve" is just fine - I see grain and detail every bit as good as the Panasonic.

That's the one I have! Have you compared it to a PS4, Xbox Obe, or Oppo?

Well you're not viewing native resolution then, yes? It's upscaled?
