Came close to the US release last year, but have the DVD same set and not being bothered with either prequel, or the 2nd Exorcist I didn't bother.

Very limited changes this cause I do love III and one is obviously a classic that I've never upgraded.

Will release include scenes like the spider walk and others which have been cut out on some releases?

It's not listed online for HMV yet, but it's only £17.50 at amazon (£25.99 at zavvi)

It has both the theatrical and director's cut of the first film, I was assuming (hoping) they'd use the same discs as the regular release so I can flog that and get a few quid back, so hopefully all the extras are carried over.

I was going to wait on this but if it's really limited I don't want to miss out, ordered at amazon.

In a way that's more surprising given how many limited editions of The Exorcist there have been in weird boxes with books and art cards and the like. Perhaps Warner have been keen to make up the revenue for all the years it went without a release in the UK

It isn't in a special box, it is just the same as the US edition, it contains just the movies.

Picked this up from my local HMV today. I was puzzled because I thought it wasn't due for release until tomorrow? Anyway, it comes in a rather tacky-looking, relatively slim digipack. If you're one of those folks who doesn't like your discs to rub against cardboard: beware.

Sure thing. I own neither a camera nor a smart phone so they'll only be low quality webcam shots, but they'll have to do until an unboxing video or some high quality photos crop up online.
