This show keeps getting better and better. I wish it were more popular. I don't think there is any marketing for it at all. I don't want it to get cancelled like Almost Human!

it's on Syfy so they don't need the kind of ratings a network like Fox needs...

I thought season 1 was a bit better but s2 is good too, I just don't like
[Show spoiler]that they killed off Pawter

I hated them
[Show spoiler]killing off the lovely Pawter. Second show this Summer to kill off a female character I liked.
Bummer. This Friday's episode is the season finale already. 10 episodes goes by real fast.

Yeah, 10 ep per season is really short Love the show, though I still like Dark Matters better.

if I had to guess, I'd say they get 10 episodes because they actually go to different planets and have scene changes and world building. I haven't seen Dark Matter s2 yet, I'm saving it all up because I got so bored with it week by week in s1, but they pretty much looked like they stayed in one warehosue and just filmed in different corners for different places lol 10 episodes is probably the cost of having a cast that isn't relatively unknown and having effects and filming locations.

Dunno what is the reason, you might be right.
On the other hand just because things happen in one location doesn't necessarily mean it's boring. DM happens mostly on the ship(or ships), but they do go to other locations too. Babylon 5 and DS9 were all in one location primarily and those are still some of the best sci-fi shows.

Just caught up with this season. The last episode was great, but I found the earlier ones kind of weak. The storyline seems to be meandering aimlessly, and (mild spoiler)
[Show spoiler]the green goo always conveniently develops some new capability when the writers run out of ideas. First it just made people invulnerable, then it made Davin into a magician, facilitated telephathy and body-switching, then it turned a small crystal into a mega-bomb that destroyed an entire asteroid etc. pp.
The characters are still good though.

Still loving this show. I can't believe it isn't more popular around here.

It's a fun show but it's nothing special. Has definitely gotten better though, while Dark Matter has gotten worse.

Dark Matter is why it's not as popular, they seemed to be pitted against each other from the start because of very similar concept. DM is fine, but I always preferred the character and world building of Killjoys, so it's the only one out of the two that I watch week by week. I save all of Dark Matter and watch it over the weekend once it's done.

I didn't like them recasting
[Show spoiler]Clara
though, but at least they explained around it and didn't just randomly have a new person playing her, but since it was only two episodes it kind of makes you wonder why even bother having her back without the original actress to begin with.

I really like Killjoys and watch it gleefully when I get a new season on Blu-ray, but I like Dark Matter and The Expanse more, with the latter being my favourite of the three, even though I'm a huge Five fan

It sucks that Dark Matter is being released on Blu-ray by FUNi

I wish Pree, Alvis, and Fancy would join the main cast permanently on the ship instead of just being side characters. I think they are interesting and would create more potential plots.

The Expanse is another one I tried watching and couldn't get into. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

Season 2 was a lot better than s1 for me. Seemed like s1 was mostly dragging on about finding that girl but s2 had much more plot development.

It sort of feels like Killjoys knows where they're going with the Hullen (even if they're just standing around twiddling thumbs until the explosive season finale), while Dark Matter is all over the map with corporate war, blam blam, corporate war, blam blam.
