As to Daredevil, I'd agree except there is the debut of Jessica Jones this fall to promote. You could then return the favor with blu-ray release of Jessica Jones to lead into Daredevil S2 and Luke Cage next spring.
I'd be surprised if they did Daredevil s2 before they finish up the current slate of MCU tv shows they have coming to Netflix.. unless the storyline of The Defenders is standalone and doesn't directly tie into anything or else it could throw off continuity between them

I was getting worried about this and Agent Carter, but apparently they're Amazon exclusives which I don't care if they are or not as long we we get them somehow.

Tuesday release dates aren't necessarily a given anymore. Some highly anticipated titles, especially those aimed at young adults (i.e., the Twilight & Hunger Games franchises), already drop on Fridays to focus on weekend shoppers. So far Disney has stuck to Tuesdays, but that could change.

Tuesday was borrowed from the music industry back in VHS days, when a lot of distributors were co-owned by record labels, both affiliated (WHV before Time Warner spun off Warner Music, MCA/Universal before Vivendi) and unaffiliated (RCA/Columbia Pictures long before Sony bought either company, CBS/Fox before CBS sold Columbia & Epic Records to Sony). But as of this week or next, the major labels (though IFPI, the international equivalent of RIAA) are moving to Fridays for all new releases worldwide (replacing Mondays in the UK as well as Tuesdays here). Though the piracy issues driving IFPI's decision aren't quite the same for home video (most movie pirates jump the gun by weeks or months, not days), it's not unthinkable that the movie industry might follow suit.

Marvel has confirmed Season 2 of Daredevil and Luke Cage for next spring. So they are doing both, rolling out old and new.

I think when they're first announced the price is usually just the list one, Amazon generally has 30% off as standard for pre-orders, but that doesn't come until a bit later. This is in my experience, at least.

Both Agents of Shield and Agent Carter could very well be exclusives to Amazon. The show Black-ish is also listed as an Amazon exclusive as well.

Perhaps ABC Studios does not want to release all of their TV shows in store because of poor sales. Who knows? Maybe they want to only offer them to people who really want to buy it.

I know that "Resurrection: Season Two" and "Devious Maids: Season Two" never got a release on DVD. When I e-mailed Disney to ask about them they told me "they are not being released but appreciate my feedback for future consideration". I also told them why release the first season of a show if you are not going to continue to release the remainder of the seasons.

Season one was around $40 the first two weeks or so at Best Buy.

After about three weeks it went up to the regular 60-80 price. I luckily bought it the week before that happened.

The second season of Daredevil just began filming last week. Since Luke Cage has not started filming yet, the second season of Daredevil will be placed between the first seasons of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

Best Buy also knocked $10 off the total price if you picked the first season up with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

i'm kinda hoping they'll add it to the DMC soon, so I can go ahead and nab season 1 as well. Wanting them to add AoS:2, AC:1, OUaT:4 so I can get all four sets as cheap as possible.

The problem with a potential Daredevil Blu-ray release: It's in UHD on Netflix, so the Blu-ray is a step back in a way.

But TV on Blu-ray already has problems. I'm curious to see if Daredevil will get an UHD Blu-ray release.

Huh?? UHD on Netflix is the same as Blu Ray 1080p. And even then Blu Ray looks better because the Netflix version sometimes has problems Playing in UHD or HD all the time because of reception and internet connection.
Also House of Cards and Orange is the new Black gets Blu Ray releases also. What you are saying doesnt make a lick of sense

Going to the pre-order this again from the states, the UK edition of the first season had a horrible cover.

I don't know what you have seen on Netflix in UHD. Godzilla looked weak, Breaking Bad has lots of compression artefacts. But Crouching Tiger - Hidden Dragon and Daredevil look great! Daredevil has lots of dark scenes but close up are clearly UHD, you can also see that in fabrics etc.

Of course Netflix with a max. bitrate of about 25Mbit HEVC has its issues with compression etc. but it was produced in UHD and I would be annoyed if I buy the first season on Blu-ray only to see an UHD Blu-ray being released a few months later. If you want to stay at 1080p and are not interested in UHD it doesn't make a difference, of course.

Orange is the new black is still produced in HD and I've never seen House of Cards.

So far I think this season is already better than the first, and the first was great. Granted, I'm only 10 episodes in, but so far, it is doing a lot more. I love the Inhumans plot going on right now and both Hunter and Bobby are the best characters on the show besides Coulson.

Is this and "Agent Carter" really going to be Amazon exclusives? We are only 4 weeks away and I cannot find listings for this on Target or Best Buy's websites... I can't even find a listing at the Disney Movie Club.
