Great?! Joking surely? Its a mess. And Casino Royale is an even bigger mess - I can see why they have gone with that, it just doesnt look good.

These are now live. Anyone know if zavvi will be getting the other 2, quantum of solace and skyfall like Germany and the US?

Very disappointing releases, abysmal artwork, they make it easy for me to pass on.

The front is bad enough, why is the back artwork so bland, look at the bad inside artwork, they can't even align 007 without cutting it off at the bottom?

There are great movie posters they could add but they got to go with these very poor minimal efforts. Title sequence or not they could have done far better than this.

All of these look beautiful with the title art!

However, these Zavvi ones are horribly overpriced especially considering that they will be in wide release at Best Buy for $12.99 each, which is 7 or 8 GBP.

Tempted to scoop them all up.

BTW, SteelBook is the name of the game here, if you are after just the discs, they can be had for a fraction of the price in numerous repackagings. That's not news here.

Default 2 disc uncut Casino Royale - pretty please?

Of course it won't be because they'll use the same one disc boxes for all seven releases. I hate, hate, HATE that you still have to choose between an uncut Casino Royale and the one with the extras. Whoever made that call deserves a medal. Tied around a grenade.

I believe the theme of these steelbooks is SPECTRE.

They are re-releasing the complete box set too with a space for SPECTRE as well as a couple new features and Everything or Nothing documentary.

Feel the same. I'd have been all over these had I not got the box set, they're stunning!

I'm sure Zavvi will make a second one, the Play version was OK though.

I am glad I am not the only one who is underwhelmed by these designs. To me, they just simply look colourless, drab and uninspiring. An easy pass for me...

Does anyone know yet why Zavvi are only doing the 7 titles and not the 9 that the other retailers are releasing?

Thats what I want to know too. I dont want to spend money importing skyfall and quantum of solace if they release them in another phase.

As far as the artwork is concerned as others have said, this is not "created" artwork but simply iconic images from the opening titles credits. As a bond fanatic I think these are pretty damn amazing rather than recycle crappy artwork like the last blu ray releases

Don't do it guys. You'll regret it. Lol

I can already see what will happen. You'll say you will only get the ones you want and buy say 5. Then you'll think "um if I buy 2 more I'll have all 7". Then Zavvi release the another 2 and you'll get them. Zavvi will keep drip feeding you the rest of the collection and you'll feel compelled to get them all as you'll see it as "only another 2 to the collection" each time. Then you'll see them all lined up on your shelf and think "I spent £390.77 on that and the Bond 50 set only costs £50 and worse still I already own it".

But what am I thinking us steelbook collectors are all the same, Marvel, Disney and Bond. All we want is a complete set of steelbooks.

"Yes!!! New Bond steelbooks!"

"Yes, they look terrible."

"What do you mean?"

"The colour is dull and uninspiring."

"You do realise the design of these are from the Bond movie intros?"

"Yes. Such design should be kept onscreen and not on steelbooks."
