I watched the unrated cut on Blu-ray last night.
Considering how awful Seth MacFarlane's last flick "How The West Was Won" was and how mediocre "Family Guy" is these days, I had zero expectations that this would be any good. Surprisingly, it was fairly funny with a few major LOL moments and probably more uses of the word "f**k" than any movie I've ever seen. The key plot point seemed to be an almost blatant swipe or homage to an old Star Trek Next Generation episode where Picard and Co had to prove Data is a sentient being and not "property." Add to that there was significant STNG references in the last half hour along with MacFarlane mainstay Patrick Stewart narrating the opening and closing bits. Over all, better'n the first "Ted" flick which admittedly wasn't a huge bar to rise above (I thought the first one was just ok) but well worth a viewing. |

For those who were wondering, the Best Buy exclusive features are on a bonus disc (DVD). They aren't digital (i.e. Interstellar). You do have to look for the copies with the small blue sticker on the cover indicating the 30 minute bonus features are included (i.e. Wolf of Wall Street). Most copies in my store are the regular version so buyer beware.

I did see the bears in a huge Ted 2 end cap near the registers. The exclusive blu-ray however wasn't in the end cap. I had to find it in the New Releases section.

Anyone have a list of what's on the Best Buy bonus disc? I got the regular edition at Walmart and they were having trouble ringing it up all day, they said and when I got home and opened it it had a bonus dvd in a paper sleeve so I was wondering if they accidentally got Best Buy's exclusive or if all regular editions come with a bonus dvd.
The Bonus dvd that came with mine has The New Girl Wedding Of The Century What It Means To Be Human Where Do All The Teds Come From A Day In The Life Of A Stuffy Last edited by Chedwiggen; 12-15-2015 at 07:02 PM. |
