Really? Other than the steering wheel coming towards the screen, the 3D was just another movie that unutilized it. Prometheus is another one. Yes, it looks great, but it's all depth of perception 3D and nothing jumping towards the screen. That's what I see 3D as. When the 3, 2, 1 countdown flying towards your face prior to the movie is more effective than the scenes in the movie itself, it's a problem for me. I just paid for 3D and didn't get much 3D of anything.

My Bloody Valentine utilized 3D perfectly. You had a pick-axe flying at the screen, or being jammed in the back of someone head in which their eye ball comes flying into your face, and the explosions make you flinch. That's 3D. Avatar had some mind blowing 3D going on as well. But movies like Godzilla, Dawn of the Apes, even Guardians of the Galaxy, it's just a way to get more money in my opinion, the 3D really isn't there effectively. And I REALLY expeced Mad Max to be one movie that would be IMAX 3D worthy, but the 3D was pretty useless.

No 3D....

Probably sticking with the 3D amaray or an imported steel for this one.

The 3D was amazing in Fury Road IMO. I am also one who wouldn't buy a steelbook of this that doesn't contain the 3D.

Strange: other countries do have a 3D steelbook (Germany, France, Russia).

I am gonna wait for the final artwork of the German steelbook.

I just hope it's a Steelbook, and not a Futurepak. I'd still get it if its the latter, but I know many here would be disappointed. The only reason I have this concern is because the Australian release pictured above is actually a futurepak. Hopefully we find out soon.

Not strange at all. Lots of American Exclusives don't include the 3D version.

The studios have employees who read fora like BD.com and see people selling off the 3D discs, so they figure why bother?

If it ends up being a Futurepak, I will throw a fit...and make this ONE exception in buying it. If I don't have to import, then I won't. I love this movie too much to not buy it in metal form, and if it becomes the only futurepak in my collection, then so be it. It'll be unique.

Think about it this way -- the movie is set in the future, so it deserves a FuturePak.
