More lies!

Quote:
The PS4 retail version only includes Dead Island on disc, and you get a download code for Riptide. This isn’t the case on Xbox One, and it appears it’s out of publisher Deep Silver’s hands.

The publisher confirmed this to a fan asking on Twitter, and later provided Gamespot with a comment.

“There are limitations where you are unable to have multiple multiplayer experiences on the same disc, unfortunately we can’t comment further,” the statement reads.

When asked how games like the Borderlands and Uncharted collection could have multiple games on a single disc, but not Dead Island, Deep Silver clarified what it actually meant.

“We could’ve worded that better,” the publisher said in response to a fan.

“You need a separate menu, you can’t just put two games on disc the same way as on XB1.”

Huh? Why not just make a separate menu on the PS4 then? Do they really think gamers are too stupid to buy this?

What a horrible excuse when there are plenty of other games that have released with 2+ games on the disc

lol

2 files on a disc. I'd side with them if their game was a lot bigger than 6GB, but it ain't so you can expect that deep silver seal of quality anyhow you get the game. If they have a menu set-up for Xbox, they could use that for PS4, nuff said.

They clearly just don't know how to compress a game properly huh.

Original file *before* compression is probably over 200GB just for Dead Island so yeah.

I'm an Xbox gamer so this is pretty convenient for me having both games on one disc. Seeing as how there are multiple games on one disc for PS4, it sounds like general laziness from this developer.

Still, can't wait to play these again. I had so much damn fun the first time I played these three years ago. Nothing like hacking off zombie limbs with blades.

Anyone get it? I'm intending to eventually, but have such a backlog I'm in no hurry. I am one of the few people it seems that really enjoyed the game on the PS3.

Had part 2 preordered for a couple years now on Amazon. Is this ever coming out?
