I only want the bonus disc. Already have all the films, and I went with JP/HK/TW discs for some titles which only have dubtitles here, and I doubt Disney will be authoring new discs for this box.

Soooo...who wants to mail me a BD-R when it's out?

The box set does look lovely but like most of you here, I pretty much have all of these movies on blu-ray (that I want). The extras sound nice though. It will be interesting to see the contents of the book. And, I am surprised that it contains Lupin; I would doubt that it has all the extras and stuff that the Discotek disc has. It would be nice to have all the films in one collective box but I would still have to keep the Discotek disc (unless Disney are using their disc. haha.).
I'm really curious about how the Castle of Cagliostro disc here is compared to the Discotek one, especially about what dubs are included. I hope we get some info soon so I can decide whether to get Discotek's or wait for this set.

Finally Disney puts out a release that's more than just discs in the case with a white background and with a shiny (Increasingly limited) slipcover. Definitely will try to get this.

Pre-orders are live folks. It's $250 for the set.

I guess it could have been worse. Roughly $24.50 a film though it does look like they all fit in that black digipack thing. Would have been nice to have separate cases for each film like EU.

The discs are in the white book-style casing with disc sleeves. The black one is the booklet I believe

Looking at the picture a little more, I think you are right! Unless the white one is the art book and the black one is a digipak lol.

I figured the black one is the digipak since the spine of the artbook is white.

It looks like the price went down to $225. My order didn't adjust so I just went ahead and placed a new pre-order and cancelled my old one.

*yawn*

Call me if there's confirmation of corrected dubtitles (a guy can dream).

Amazon refunds you the price difference after it ships.

$25 is quite a lot to be refunded and take 2–3 days to return to one's account. I can understand placing another order in case Amazon doesn't adjust the pricing.

Usually when something drops and I check my order status, it shows the lowest pricing. It didn't so I just replaced my order just in case.

Okay, I'm in on this.
I only own Spirited Away, and I can still return it (unopened and saved receipt).

Wish this wasn't Amazon Exclusive (would be nice to find a retailer to avoid the 9% tax rate here).

Like many here, I would love the bonus disc and the book, but I already own all of these films. Disney would have my money if they corrected the dubtitle issue, but I'm sure they haven't. That would require them to admit they made a mistake and offer disc replacements.

However, if they do an Isao Takahata box set (Japan released one in January), I would definitely be in to finally have Only Yesterday as well as a US BD release of My Neighbors the Yamadas.

It is supposed to adjust in a few days but many again this is AMZ we are talking about. They are very slow to do it and sometimes the don't do it at all. So like others I usually just reorder to be safe.

So I have a question. How hard is it to get Mononoke, Howl's moving castle and castle in the sky with slips? Those are really the only ones left that I want and don't have.

Basically, is it easier to buy those three with slips, or sell my Nausicaa and Spirited away and pick up this set?

Any help would be reaaaaaally great!

Mononoke should still have a slipcover.

The other two since they are much older titles will be a toss up if you get them with slips from where ever you order them from.
