Anyone know if this transfer is better than the 88 Films one or if it's the same?

Can anyone tell me about different cuts of this? I see at IMDB mention of a directors cut, but I only see one run time (88 minutes) listed for this title here, at IMDB, and at Vudu where you can buy it digitally. But other releases show run times between 87-90 minutes.

At IMDB I see this in the Parental Advisory section:

A young woman stands in a shower. Her breasts, buttocks, and pubic area is shown from the side. (Director's cut)

Is this scene in the version on the blu-ray? And is the digital version the same? Appreciate any info. I hate getting cut editions. I see there is a German blu-ray that is listed as "Uncut". And There was a DVD specifically listed as "Directors Cut", but it shows an 87 minute runtime.

I just threw in the Code Red Blu-ray, as I haven't watched it in some time. The scene you inquired about is on this Blu-ray at about 16:30. The back cover lists the runtime as 90 minutes, though the movie ran just under 86 minutes minus the credits, and just under 88 minutes with the credits included. Unfortunately, I have no info about other releases or the digital version.

Here are the differences between the two versions. The Directors Cut has not been released on blu-ray, only DVD. The shower scene is in the theatrical version. It's just much earlier in the directors cut.

Also the link uses the DVD release to compare the two versions. The framing looks correct on the directors cut, while the theatrical is matted too high. I don't know if the blu-ray is framed properly or not.

The Code Red Blu-ray matches the framing of the DVD Director's Cut.

Looks like it got pushed out to November 20.

It's just one Blu Ray with the same version as the Code Red one. The other 2 discs (Directot's Cut + Theatrical) are just DVDs. False advertising.

To make it easy: Is the shower scene in the beginning of the movie or at 16:30?

Before the release, 88 claimed on facebook that they will release the DC, but I don't see that anyone has ever verified that afterwards.

Just finished watching the French bluray release. I really loved the movie, very low budget, but performances were quit good I must say.

Now the picture is plagued wit compression artifacts in both video and audio, but I don't mind it too much.

They’d just take the same “warts and all” transfer they offer now, and throw it on a 4k disc… with most likely unimpressive results.

I watched this one fairly recently and I actually kind of liked the grind house appearance of the print. Made it all the more nostalgic
