Not any more. Flixster dropped Disc to Digital last year.

Flixster Video has discontinued support for Disc to Digital conversion. As an alternative, we recommend using VUDU’s Disc to Digital service which offers the ability to convert your DVDs into UltraViolet digital copies. If you don’t yet have a VUDU account, you can sign up for one at http://www.vudu.com.

CinemaNow also does D2D, or did last I checked. I had some credit there from when Target Ticket closed and that's what I used it on (since their movie prices usually stink).

You know what's weird? Remember back in the day when you pre-ordered a movie thru best buy it would show up early on their cinema now service? They don't do it anymore but for some reason the movies are showing up on my VUDU account. When the first twilight series box set was released, it contained codes that only worked on Cinema now for the first 3 movies and the last one worked with Vudu, yet it the 3 cinema now movies aren't showing up on Vudu. I still have a few codes that came with the actual movie that I haven't used. If Cinema now folds will my copies disappear from my vudu?

Back in those days, not everything in Cinemanow was UV enabled that could have been. If you bought something or redeemed a code for a movie that was not UV and that movie became UV later on, your copy often would not be granted UV rights. I redeemed some of those codes and if I remember correctly the early movies were not given UV status. I think one of them recently was made UV though.

If the movie is in your UV locker, you should be OK as far as not losing the movie if something were to happen to Cinemanow.

VUDU dropping the 50% of 10+ on the disc-to-digital program breaks my stinking heart .

I guess the answer to this question is definitive now that CinemaNow and Flixster no longer exist.

Personally I prefer Google Play. I think only some HBO, FOX and Disney titles support it. But I prefer it to VUDU and iTunes by a lot. Why? Well Google Play titles play on YouTube if you're logged in. Meaning they can play on almost any device. And when I use the Google Play app it shows me the actors name that are on the frame. It's just the most convenient way for me to see films.

I hope more studios will support it.

Me too. I usually buy a cheap HBO code and watch the show on youtube. That's how I've watched first 5 seasons of Game of Thrones.

I like Google Play a lot, I just wish I could connect ultraviolet to it. I do have Disney Movies Anywhere connected to it which is nice.

Give it time and UV might be rolled into Movies Anywhere.

Last night I was trying to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on Vudu and about 45 minutes in it kept "buffering" and wouldn't stop.

Never had that problem on Vudu before.

...anyone else have this issue?
