The Blu Collection has created multiple keep case exclusives. Inside Llewyn Davis, Mr. Nobody, Atilla Marcel, God Save the Girl, etc. |

So at this time and as far as i know, Kimchi has never made non steelbooks releases (but Novamedia yes). I thought i could have missed something but obviously not. |

This and Creed so far are my fav movies of 2015. I held off on getting the regular blu for this. Little disappointed the cover is the same as the regular U.S. blu-ray, but I actually like the skull/cloud design. Very happy it's a steelbook and eager to see any slipcovers/lents/etc. as well as the interior.

Got the US Blu for $4 on Black Friday (along with Ex Machina for $5 at Best Buy, already had MM:FR), but I'll still want to double (or triple) dip on this title.
Though I haven't seen much of the arthouse/foreign titles yet, so far 2015 ranking for me is something like: 1. Crimson Peak (Guillermo del Toro) 2. Mad Max: Fury Road (George Miller) 3. Ex Machina (Alex Garland) 4. It Follows (David Robert Mitchell) 5. *Wild Tales (Damián Szifrón 2014; Argentina/Spain) 6. White God (Kornél Mundruczó; Hungary) though 2-4 could shuffle around on any given day depending on my mood. I'm a fan of Bava's gothic movies, so Crimson Peak felt like it was designed just for me...and sadly, the mediocre box office take makes that seem true. |
